Our apologies for the lack of updating here at www.travislarsonband.com... times remain strange in our universe, laying low is the roll for now. There is relief in seeing live music picking up again and speaking of... Travis Larson will be performing with the California Guitar Trio, July 15 in Solvang, CA: "The universe of guitar knows no boundaries for The California Guitar Trio. Since 1991, the group has enthralled listeners with a singular sound that fearlessly crisscrosses genres. Happy New Year! Oh, and Groundhog Day! Valentine's Day? April Fools!! Wait. Happy Easter! Aw, hell. Happy Birthday, everyone! TLB has been a tiny bit off-radar as 2021 moves along, the strange times have kept us hunkered down but anxiously awaiting less-strange times. The new record is moving along too! With most songs penned and arranged, tracking is just around the corner and the hunkering will be hunkertastic. In the midst of the aforementioned hunkering, TLB has managed a couple of pop-ins on podcasts - if "pop-in" is defined as "well beyond two hours". The Eclectic Soundtrax Podcast features Travis and Jennifer discussing Bryan Beller's wonderful hair and T's weird obsession with milk, among other things. Then check out My Classic Album - With Mike Norris, where Mike and Travis explore the impact 'Moving Pictures' had not only on the Travis Larson Band but music lovers and even popular culture for four decades. Happy Anniversary to TLB! 2021 marks TWENTY years since the release of Suspension and in honor of such, half-price Suspension t-shirts! Sizes are limited to XL and L, while quantities last. Welp, after fourteen-thousand miles, two alternators, one flat, two hubcaps (thereafter a whole new set of tires and shocks), TLB has returned to the Central Coast of California fairly intact. The TLB20 US Tour was... magnanimous, particularly with regards to van repairs. Thank you one and all for coming out to the shows, you fill us with moxie. Thanks too, Andy Timmons, Rob the Great, Blue Mouth Promotions, all of our home-hosts who graciously fed and watered the minstrels while we folded clean clothes. It takes an awful lot of caring people to perpetuate "art", we are thankful to know all of you. Before settling in too much, TLB has a few more west coast shows up our collective sleeves. The "official" anniversary party is just a couple days from now, the dive bar where it all started, Sweet Springs Saloon (a show with cookies, that's the "party" part). Moving Pictures, Ms. Young's first-ever photography book is released TODAY!! "This collection takes the challenges of shooting pictures from the passenger seat of an E-350 tour van… a singular point of view, lack of control, the fact that a decent shot is often just dumb luck… and turns that frustration into privilege. An appreciation for contrast, a wider perception and the realization that there is so much more to our world and lives than just the blurs. Jennifer offers her view of 'out there', her present moments, all caught in the camera eye." Or something like that. Swoop up your very own copy for your very own coffee table, available here and at the shows. And wouldn't you look fantastic wearing a brand new TLB20 t-shirt whilst flipping through the pages of Moving Pictures? Yes, you would. Swoop away. The TLB20 Tour is officially underway, the shows have been kickin' ass, the set is delightfully challenging. Our sincere appreciation to our California friends for your tolerance as we ironed out the old and new tunes. Check out the tourdates for the latest dates and details as they continue to roll in, including a Northeast run with Andy Timmons Band!! We are wriggly with joy to reunite with The King of Tone, Ms. Young is wriggly with anticipation as she will be filling in on bass for more than a handful of these shows. Camera? What camera? The year 2018 marks twenty, since Travis Larson Band's first and eponymous release in 1998. TWENTY YEARS of instrumental-progressive-rock trenches. It's where we most love to be, so... we're celebrating! How? With a tour! And hopefully some cake and/or cheese. Check out the tourdates page, it's being updated often as things still pull together. We're bringing back the infamous TLB logo from twenty years ago... it's been spiced up a bit with anniversary-like color, shines and lines. Check 'em out now, we'll let you know the minute the ink dries. Next. Twenty years in the making (or collecting, rather) Ms. Young has been in her own trench, working on her very first photography book - a collection of images all shot from the passenger seat of the TLB tour van, and only a few while driving. Heh. A labor of love, this hundred-and-fifty page visual tour is a glimpse into the "other twenty or so hours" of life on the road, as only Ms. Young can see it. Check out her documini for a little preview of... Moving Pictures by Jennifer Young. Available June 18, 2018. It may seem that TLB took the extended winter hibernation a little too seriously. On the contrary. Plotting and planning world domination, these things take time. Plotting and planning a North American tour, takes about six months. More on this later. In the meantime, Travis Larson will be performing a handful of Guitar Center clinics on the west coast. Sponsored by Fishman, these intimate events are sure to bring joy to the world and at the very least, MIDI wisdom to the attendees. Check the tourdates for a GC clinic near you. And then, go! "Let us pray that strength and courage abundant be given to all who work for a world of reason and understanding, that the good that lies in every man's heart may day by day be magnified, that men will come to see more clearly not that which divides them, but that which unites them, that each hour may bring us closer to a final victory, not of nation over nation, but of man over his own evils and weaknesses, that the true spirit of this Christmas season - its joy, its beauty, its hope, and above all its abiding faith - may live among us, that the blessings of peace be ours - the peace to build and grow, to live in harmony and sympathy with others, and to plan for the future with confidence." -Unknown |

It's been said that all good things are worth waiting for and worth fighting for. So... U.S. tour? Travis Larson Band hits the open road in a few weeks and by request, full shows! From the west to the east and points in between, we've tried like hell to hit all the familiar spots. Dates are still coming together, keep an eye on the tourdates page and refresh, refresh, refresh. A selection of prints from the Anicca photoshoot, images that revolved around the album concept, will be sold to the highest bidder! One print per show, Jennifer will sign her offerings if you so desire, as long as it won't muddy up the art. We'd love to give you a taste of the photographic delights, unfortunately... no can do. Get your ass to a show. TLB is packing up, gearing up, packing up gear... we can't wait to see all of your shiny-happy faces, in all of our favorite places. Let's rock, yeah? Featuring new tunes from Anicca and fistfuls of TLB classics, the sets pack a punch and could leave you seeing stars. If you squint just right. It bears reminding, check out TLB's latest release Anicca!! Still almost fresh from the oven, it's tasty. "With hints of late-seventies instrumental progressive fusion, this consummate collection is firmly steeped in the 21st century. And while the new record could be considered a departure, Anicca is surely an arrival." Grab a copy here, or at a show near you! We're working on the tour schedule for this year, there's shuffling and sussing. Lots to come for summer and fall, check out the tourdates page for the latest. Or soonest, rather. TLB has been nominated for five JPF Awards! Started in 1999, the JPF Awards recognize the best music often ignored by the mainstream. If April showers bring May flowers, what do May flowers bring? Allergies. Pretty sure it's allergies. In honor of allergy season and a ten year anniversary, TLB celebrates their 2006 release Rate of Change with a re-press and a DEAL. It's a bundled society, so we're bundling too. Progression Magazine says, "The tracks are exquisitely arranged and melodically tasty, the playing is smoothly confident while technically brilliant, and production is so sonically crisp the sound practically leaps from your speakers." How can you resist THAT? So yes, Rate of Change is back in print! Check out the merchandise page for details. TLB is on Bandcamp! "Discover amazing new music and directly support the artists who make it." That about covers it. Thank you Devon Booth, TLB's Digital Strategist, for getting it all set up. You'll be seeing and hearing a lot from that boy. He's the MAN. The new record is in the tracking stages. Ms. Young is currently in the hot seat, getting down to brass tacks as they say, if inebriated. Bass tracks, if not. We're looking at an August release, the ink is drying on the tourdates schedule and we're SO excited to come see you all! It's been far too long. TLB is happily home from the NAMM show and a kickass run with Dave LaRue Band and Magic Elf. All the minds were blown by all the notes from all the bands. Documentation of such a magnificent tour was abandoned, since Ms. Young (resident documenter) was pulling double-duty, filling in on bass for Elf. If you missed it, bummer. Surely there's proof somewhere, though unfortunately not available here on www.travislarsonband.com. Our apologies. The big news! Travis Larson Band is headed into the studio for work on their seventh studio record. Lucky seven! The writing has begun, things are flowin', feelin', fallin'... into place nicely. We're hoping for a Summer release, tour to follow. Neat, yes? If you're itching to catch some TLB sooner than later, Travis is headed east on a solo clinic run during March and April. Check the tourdates for the details. So, there you have it. Travis Larson Band is digging in, yet again. We won't be strangers and respectfully request ya keep the light on for us.... Happy Thanksgiving from TLB! We're excited to announce the first shows for next year, TLB's customary pre-NAMM run, this time featuring the prodigious Dave LaRue Band and the wildly deft Magic Elf. It ain’t easy getting such noteworthy fusion bands together for even ONE night of mind-blowing music, so why not make a thing of it? Grammy-nominated bassist Dave LaRue’s technical prowess is formidable among jazz-fusionists, but his unique talent is to project his virtuosity with remarkable soul and feel. A long-time member of the instrumental groups the Steve Morse Band and the Dixie Dregs, LaRue continues to be the go-to guy for many leading guitarists, having worked with Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, Vinnie Moore, The Hellecasters, Pat Travers, Steve Lukather, Mike Stern, Eric Johnson, Andy Timmons, Albert Lee, Paul Gilbert, Tony MacAlpine, Rik Emmett, Ace Frehley, and Steve Vai. Magic Elf’s high-energy, instrumental rock is often compared to The Dregs, Rush, King Crimson, Allan Holdsworth, along with echoes of both Bach and Beck. Guitar World Magazine says, "Without a doubt, the Elf packs a punch. Their all-instrumental music is ass-kickingly ferocious jazz fusion/progressive hard rock... Roa is an extremely formidable player... a must-hear for any serious fans of creative, technically proficient prog rock”. Check out the tourdates page or this-here fancy poster, and come see the show!! We've added a new radio interview with KMUZ's Eric Gessner, where Travis discusses the recent US tour, the new DVD/CD release Shift Happens - LIVE in Mexicali and diplomatically shares thoughts about the music "business". Speaking of commercialism, all TLB merch is on sale till December 15. Five bucks off of everything. 'Tis the season! Gratitude is best served warm... as is that big ol' bird and all the trimmings. May your hearts and your bellies be filled with the warmth of thankfulness and may you find delight in the little things. "You have any food here?" -Josey Wales |

Dang. Over three months since the last update? Who's runnin' this shootin' match? Apologies. Seems there's been some distraction, lack of multi-tasking, and general neglect. Let's blame it on Mr. Beller, shall we? :) The Aristocrats / TLB tour really WAS the stuff of dreams. The shows were fiery, the fans were earnest, the travel was trying... but we survived and survived well. Over twelve-thousand miles, forty-four shows, two vehicle breakdowns, four Jen breakdowns, and numberless pounds of scrambled eggs... yes, the stuff of dreams. Our heartfelt thanks to the Aristocrats, the crew, the folks at BMP and all the cool cats who came to the shows. EVERYONE rocked and rocked hard. Thank you. While the rest of the band rests on their laurels, Travis will be doing some solo clinics in the upcoming months. Keep an eye on the tourdates for details. Coming soon, pictures from the tour and assorted news on upcoming TLB escapades. Happy Fall, y'all. With Shift released, rehearsals finished, TLB is hittin' the road, ready and willing to throw down. Check out the tourdates, more on the way for late fall. We've added a gallery and some video tourdiaries from the recent warm-up tour to the South, definitely worth checking out if you're an Elvis fan or zombie. Shift is now available on iTunes. Download, baby. And while you're happily spending your recession-free wads of cash, don't forget the snazzy new SHIFT-shirts, currently available in all sizes. We thought it prudent to let our faithful friends know that TLB has decided to scrap the last few months of writing for the new record. Furthermore, since Travis wasn't even "close" in his songwriting, we've demoted him and changed the name of the band to "Bieber"....mwahahahahaha!! Just foolin'. Of course. In truth, the new songs are shaping up rather nicely and the Travis Larson Band is happy to announce a July release date. The actual date has yet to be determined. Last chance to catch the Soundmind tour set, this weekend at the Guitar Center Musician's Expo, where Travis and Jennifer will perform and geek out on gear. Yay! Check out the tourdiaries page where you'll find the new Aristocrats tourdiary. Chock full of fun times with sick musicians. May your month of April be sweetly foolish, but not filled with fools. |

TLB is happily home from the NAMM show and a kickass run with the Aristocrats, where everyone but the drummers came down with Nammthrax. Recovery has been absurdly slow and it remains to be seen if the guitar and bass players will even survive. Check out the NAMM tourdiary and experience the four-day adventure in less than four minutes. Or if you prefer to zap-cook yer Pop-Tarts, the NAMM gallery can be viewed in mere seconds. Coming soon, should we survive, the Aristocrats tourdiaries. In case you hadn't heard, our very own Ms. Young is currently featured on the cover of Bass Musician Magazine! Blushingly accepting of her covergirl status, she has declined the swimsuit edition. Read the interview here. So, there you have it. Travis Larson Band is headed into the cave, gearing up for writing, recording and releasing a new album. We won't be strangers and respectfully request ya keep the light on for us.... |

Happy New Year from TLB! Let us hope that 2013 is filled with inspiration, balance and chocolate-covered macadamia nuts. Nom, nom. The NAMM show is just around the corner and Travis can almost taste the fluorocarbons as his excitement mounts. Meanwhile, the band is gearing up for our California run with all-around-good-guys and supergroup The Aristocrats, “a rowdy democracy of musicianship.” Best said by ELP, "Come and see the show!" Check the tourdates page for all the dirt. We've recovered from the holiday-induced sugar coma and finally got busy adding the last two tours worth of Tour Diaries and Galleries. Yes, they're old-ish, but still just as fun. Speaking about old-ish and fun.... Ms. Young recently celebrated a milestone birthday but claims "I'm not 40, I'm eighteen with 22 years experience." Then said, "Does that add up right?" Check out her magnanimous birthday video on the Travis Larson Band Facebook page. If you are not a Facebook user, rock on. You may have noticed that the band's tourdates page is a little on the light side and that can only mean one thing: a new Travis Larson Band record. That's all we're sayin'. Hope to see you all soon. You may be wondering "What happened to that dear, sweet Travis Larson Band?", or "Where are the updates, the pictures, the stories?", or "Where's the nog?" Ah well, TLB is doing fine, thank you for wondering. The band is taking their usual winter break to gear up for next year, get some ducks in a row and wood in the shed. Pictures, tourdiaries, etc. are on the way, nog... gone in ma belly. Speaking of next year, ducks and wood, we are more than excited about an upcoming January run with the socially-relevant, anthropologically-significant and musically-important band, The Aristocrats. Featuring Guthrie Govan, Bryan Beller and Marco Minnemann, these shows will be stellar and shame on you if you miss it. Check the tourdates page for details. Also in January, Carl Roa releases his new "super intense instrumental, progressive, hard-rock" CD, Lord of the Strings, featuring a track with Travis Larson. Pre-orders available now at www.bigshoemusic.com. It's that time of year when the humans enjoy and revel in sparkly lights, cozy comforts and Bing Crosby. TLB sure hopes your holiday season is filled with an abundance of those very things... So, in the spirit of commercialism, er, the season, travislarsonband.com is having a SALE! A flat $5 off all TLB merchandise. Everything. Five whole dollars off each and any item. You could save millions if you bought enough stuff. Stock up little babies, TLB stuff rocks and makes a most excellent holiday gift. The Midwest dates are in, flights are booked and we are headed your way. From Atlanta to Milwaukee, TLB will be crackin' some new apples and re-visiting our old favorites. Get the Skyline Chili warmed up, Jerry. With just two more TLB tours for 2012, we highly recommend you get out and catch the show because if the world ends... well, wouldn't you feel silly? Check the tourdates page and make plans, baby. And for a taste of what you can expect at your* upcoming TLB show, check out The Viewing Room: The Official Soundmind Performance Videos. On a recent tourdate in San Diego, we were privileged to work with friends at MUPstream to capture some footage of the tunes from Soundmind. We hope you enjoy. More stuff: some new tourdiaries from our recent West Coast jaunt with Points North (including the "making of" above-mentioned performance videos) and two recent internet radio interviews with Travis Larson. It is certain he discusses many, many, much, much. It's Independence Day, a time for Americans to reflect upon important things like freedom, democracy and where to find tri-tip and beans on sale. TLB finally has some East Coast tour documentation in order. So while you're waiting on those beans to bubble, reflect upon these FOUR video tour diaries, ONE magnanimous gallery and ONE whole article from Ms. Young. Prolific we are not, but happy to share nonetheless. In other news, a Midwest tour is shaping up for August and one final West Coast run in September with guitarist Dave Martone. Check the tourdates page, eh. And coming soon... the official Soundmind performance videos! TLB has seen some of the most amazing places in our homeland and the recent East Coast tour was no different with a brief visit to the capital of the United States. Happy Seis De Mayo! TLB has returned unscathed from the recent Northwest tour with two video tour diaries, one photo gallery and a few words from Ms. Young. Tour was good, weather was good, food was Denny's. We're officially reminding you of the upcoming East Coast run that kicks off in just a matter of weeks. Eleven shows, from Florida to New York, why not take a week off work and we'll convoy? Please, please come out and support this tour so we can make it happen again. TLB, Dave LaRue, Carl Roa.... the tasty way to end your May and start your June. We've added more June dates! TLB is back on the West Coast with Carl Verheyen Band and Bay Area favorites Points North. Check the tourdates page for all the details, then tell your friends to bring friends. The actual kind. As opposed to the virtual kind. Thank you, as always. For sharing our adventure, for sharing your lives. "God of Rock, thank you for this chance to kick ass. We are your humble servants. TLB has been working their little cottontails off getting the April and May tours solid. They are officially solid.... ish. The month of April has the band returning to the good ol' Northwest where cold is cold, wet is wet and they like it that way. Then in May, TLB heads East where hot is hot, wet is wet and they like it that way. Silly geese. It's TLB's first time to Florida and we are sick with delight to be sharing the Sunshine State stages with Bass Deity and all-around-nice-guy Dave LaRue. Check the tour dates page for all the juicy bits. More on the way for June and such... Ahh, the tourdates page. Please note that the order has changed. Again. The tourdates will henceforth be listed chronologically, the "right way". Again. You'll just have to manage all that extra scrolling, our apologies for any inconvenience. In other news, the Soundmind T-shirts are currently back in stock in limited sizes. Get 'em while we got 'em, while the gettin's good. Got it? Who writes this crap? We've worked up some new tunes from Soundmind, we're hittin' the road and not looking back until Jen has found her funny. So, if you could find it in your hearts to cash in that 401k and fill your gas tanks, we'll do our very best to make it a worthwhile emotional investment. Can't wait to see all you silly geese. Until then, remember to floss. |

The year is shaping up nicely as the TLB tour schedule comes together. Details are still trickling in but solid dates for the Northwest are posted on the tourdates page. Other loose tour dates include shows in Florida, the Midwest, East Coast and a West Coast tour with groovy shredder Dave Martone. While you twiddle your thumbs and wait out the antsy with the rest of us, check out an exclusive interview with Travis Larson on The Aquarium radio show with Kingfish and Big Mike, Tuesday, February 21 and a hometown clinic on March 1 at Faultline Music. It's the Year of the Dragon and TLB wishes you all of the prosperity, good fortune and evidently babies that the Dragon influence has to offer... TLB is off to a fiery start with a smokin' NAMM show this year. Fun was had by all as thousands of NAMM attendees descended upon Anaheim, CA and demanded a good time. We wined and dined, mixed and mingled, hobbed and nobbed and nobody in our crew even got arrested. Good times. Check out the tour diary. With Soundmind still just taking it's first steps, we're working hard on getting the show back out on the road. Tourdates are in the works, so keep an eye out for a TLB show near you and we'll keep you posted. And if for some ungodly, strange, don't-even-wanna-hear-about-it reason you still don't have the new Travis Larson Band CD Soundmind, go here. We swear you'll really dig it. And don't forget about the six from the last update - grab yer nog and watch 'em again. Two portly picture galleries from the last couple of Soundmind tour legs. TLB visits the Ford Museum in Detroit, Dealey Plaza in Texas and takes a tour of Airforce One! Oh yeah, some shows, food, clinics, clouds.... lots of pics, lots of pics. We're still honoring the occasion of the ten year anniversary of TLB's first DVD, Rock Show. So, we're still discounting this classic gem -- for the rest of the year!... I know, right?! Makes a most excellent stocking stuffer for your most favorite TLBer. The reviews are in! A couple anyway. And finally, tourdates. Welp, TLB's 2011 tour season has officially come to a close... And with that said, there's one more teeny-tiny, lil' show to announce.... Yes, it's Travis Larson's Big Ol' Birthday Bash! It's big, big, big and he's old, old, old! Not really. Maybe a little. Reason enough for celebration, nonetheless.... November 30th. Mark it. November 30th also marks the ten year anniversary of TLB's first DVD, Rock Show. In honor of the occasion, we're discounting this classic gem for the whole month of November! Head over to the merch page for full disclosure... We've been wading through all the video footage, pics, interviews, receipts, business cards, demos and bootlegs from these last several months of touring and couldn't seem to pull it ALL together in time for a timely update. SO, here's what you get for now: Two randomly weird interviews with our favorite fusion DJ, Randy Allar. They're long and probably not worth listening to in their entirety, but knock yourself out. Six tourdiaries from the "Better Late Than Never Tour", back in late July and early August. One photo gallery from the aforementioned tour. More on the way as the seas subside, and NO it's not really that timely at four months since the last update. Poops and Pees. In other news, Travis Larson Band's Soundmind release is featured in Guitar Player Magazine's holiday issue as one of GP Editor's Top Three. How's that for really neat? AND check out the new issue of Progression Magazine where you'll find another "thumbs up" review. We'll post the reviews soon, but you should really go buy the magazines. Thanks GP and Progression! And thank you to everyone who came out to the shows. It gets said a lot, but it means more every time... we humbly appreciate your support, enthusiasm and warm bakery items. It's about time for an update, eh? Word has been that TLB was headed East in late July, and while we've been having a helluva time pulling it together, it's TRUE. Our apologies for such late notice, but check out the tourdates and get out yer planner. It's good to fly by the seat of your pants... and cheaper than United. Reckon the West/Northwest tour was a hog-killin' good time and we've got the apple pie to prove it. Check out the gallery, with over one hundred dazzling images of this and that, there's somethin' in there for everyone. The interviews page has a couple of entertaining bits with the band, if you're into that sort of thing, and we included one on the videos page as well. Cos it has video. Ms. Young has contributed some musings in lieu of video tour diaries, and probably won't make that mistake again. Soundmind is now available on Itunes! Yay! Okay, we'll see you midwest and east coast folks in just a matter of weeks, we do hope you can squeeze some spontaneous TLB love into your summer pants. I mean PLANS. Summer plans. You know, TLB ain't nothin' if not consistent, so rather than waste time on fresh wit, we'll just be pasting relevant text from the last release, with the appropriate changes, etc. So, if something seems eerily familiar, it is. And here we go.... Welcome to a new look here at www.travislarsonband.com. Before we go any further, if anything looks funky, remember to REFRESH. It really does the trick, in all aspects of life. The band has spent the last few weeks getting everything ready for the release of Soundmind and we're truly exhausted. No wait, EXCITED, not exhausted. Heh. Cruise around the site, check out some sound clips from the new Soundmind CD or visit the Listening Room for the full HD viewing AND listening experience. Head on over to the Tour Diaries page to watch five whole episodes on the making of Soundmind - not really so much a "tour" diary, really more of a "production" diary, but we didn't know where else to stick 'em and let's be honest, who cares? Visit the tourdates page to see where the band will be in the next couple of months. We're headed to the Northwest in June, Midwest and East in early August, then to the moon for Christmas. Not really. Oh yeah, while the new Soundmind CD is not officially available until May 27th, we've got the new Soundmind T-shirts available NOW. TLB sincerely thanks you for your warm support and dedication. We can't WAIT to get out there and see you all again. |

We figured you could do without updates if you knew that TLB was hard at work getting the new record together. The writing was finished before NAMM, tracking started the day after NAMM... the days and nights have been long and tedious but filled with a joyful sense of musical recklessness. Still no release date, but we're shootin' for May. Can you hardly stand it? May is just a short ways away. May. Tra-la-la-la-la. Before the delirium set in, we managed to scrape together some bits of video and pictures from the NAMM show... what a GREAT show this year. Thanks to everyone who came by the Ernie Ball/MusicMan booth and hung out. MusicMan's new Game Changer won Best of Show, check it out... Travis spent Valentine's Day shooting this demo for Ernie Ball's new Gigbag Amp, then took it out for sushi and slipped a box of chocolates in the outside pocket. He even wore his good shoes. If it pleases you, visit us on Facebook... we'll be posting new record updates starting mid-March. |

NAMM is coming, NAMM is coming... Oh, Happy New Year! NAMM is coming! It bears repeating that TLB loves the NAMM show. Four exhausting days of music-family reunions, rockin', rollin' and CHOW, if we can get someone else to buy... TLB will be performing all four days of the NAMM show, so we've got some warming up to do. Check out the tourdates for a quick little run this very weekend. It's also around this time of year that Ms. Young pulls the same ol' "presents and cake" scam, so remember she prefers chocolate and shiny objects. And on the next
run, we should have a new Travis Larson Band record in hand.
More on that later. |

We're fast approaching the first day of Winter and it seemed like a good opportunity to peek our little heads out and wish you all a very warm and hearty holiday season. We've posted some dates for 2011... why not start the year off right with some TLB love? Oh yeah, in case you're paying attention, we switched the tourdates BACK to the way they used to be. The dates will henceforth be listed in reverse chronological order. Seems there was some confusion with the "other way", and Jennifer would just like to state for the record "I told you it was dumb to change it". We'll see you soon and until then, stay warm and hearty. "Christmas
will always be, as long as we stand heart to heart and hand in hand.”

Holy turkey-tasting, pumpkin-pigging, tater-tossing, greenbean-burping time-warp! We were so busy stuffing ourselves on the feasts of the season, the web update got eaten too. Nevertheless, hope your biscuit-buttering, gravy-guzzling, cider-sipping, pie-popping feasts were lovely and full of thankfulness. The new record is sailing along with almost all the tunes written. Travis claims this is the best record yet, and wants to call it "The Best Record Yet", but the band thought that was lame. We have yet to set a release date, but you'll be the first to know. Well actually, we'll be the first to know, but then we'll let you know, etc.... huh? Since we've been cooped up in the cave, we're gonna let our hair down for one last show in good ol' 2010. Come celebrate the season with TLB and Gary Hoey, Thursday, December 9 for "Ho Ho Hoey's Rockin' Holiday Show" at our old hometown stompin' grounds, SLO Brewing Co. Visit the tourdates page for the "deets", as the kids say. "Let us love winter, for it is the spring of genius." -Pietro Aretino |

Thank you one and all for coming out to support our recent tour with funky stanksters Doug Johns and Chris Ceja. We like to show 'em how it's done out here in Cali, and you all showed 'em good. Check out the tourdiaries page for six stankalicious webisodes from the tour. And while you're over in that general nook, we posted a new duet video, Dear God, filmed at Hertlein Guitars on July 16, 2010. Speaking of duet shows and such, Travis and Jennifer will be opening for Carl Palmer on November 6, down in San Diego, CA. Check the tourdates for more info and a few other one-off shows, the last of the year. We'll be in the band-cave if you need us. Just give a holler. |

We're counting down just a couple of weeks till TLB reunites with Cleveland faves Doug Johns and Chris Ceja for their whirlwind California tour. From Sacramento to San Diego, TLB and DJ will be tearing roofs off of proverbial dumps, whilst leaving their trail of fusion and funk stank all over the state. Check the tourdates page for up to the minute updates. Speaking of updates... there was recent mention of some acoustic/electric concert bits floating around here somewhere.... Featuring Travis Larson and Jennifer Young, the show was recorded and filmed at Hertlein Guitars on July 16, 2010 and it's pretty neat. Keep checking back, we're hoarding our bits. A new review just in for Rate of Change LIVE, the DVD - thanks to our timely press department. And last but not least, we have one song in the demo-can for the new TLB record. Yee-haw, baby. |

We have no excuses for the lack of updates as of late, except for that Travis forgot the words to Monkey Man, then Dale was lost at sea for nineteen days, then Jen broke her elbow playing badminton. Not really. Here's what's up: Travis Larson Band was recently featured in Progression Magazine, and we finally got to read what nice things they had to say about TLB: "...hearing the seamlessly organic interplay of these three gifted musos is a thing of beauty that "progressively" attuned ears are sure to relish..." Awww, shucks. Read more, then go get signed up for their quarterly progressive journal, it rocks. The last several weeks were spent gearing up for a rare acoustic/electric concert featuring Travis and Jennifer, sans Moon. The show was recorded and filmed and we hope to have some full-length songs together soon, for your viewing and listening pleasure. Until then, here is a little teaser. And while you're enjoying TLB TV, check out the tourdiaries page for one lonely little Las Vegas video where TLB rocks the Hilton Ballroom at Infocomm and Jennifer leaps from a tall building in a single bound. Tourdates, baby. We're headed north this week, then north and south in September. Get yer live TLB while you can, work on the new record begins late fall. Did I say that out loud? Finally, if you have a hankerin' for more, dare we say, "frequent" TLB updates, visit us on, dare we say, Facebook. Hope your beautiful summer is cruising along... |

"Lotti di roba da verificare...". That's poor Italian for "Lots of stuff to check out..." So let's get started. We've added a new section to www.travislarsonband.com called Features where you'll find a glorious three-page spread from Italy's largest guitar magazine, AXE Magazine, featuring yours truly. We're excited to grace the pages of such a fine periodical, and sincerely hope it says neat stuff (it's in ITALIAN, ya see, however we have included the original interview). Next, another spread from the quarterly journal of progressive music, Progression Magazine, again featuring yours truly. (Editors Note: At the time of this posting, we have yet to receive the article, but we sincerely hope it says neat stuff.) Finally, another little bit from Examiner.com and hey, it does say neat stuff. Check out the tour diaries from the recent California run, musings from Ms. Young, a new review from Axe Magazine, and a smattering of tourdates. There's a rumor floating around that the band's end of the year touring schedule is lighter than expected, so rather than "take a break", why not work on a new record? Why wouldn't a guy? Boy, did we have an awful good time out there in the Southwest. Re-live the TLB fun with our tour diaries and tour gallery. Or if you're in a different mood, Jen's articles are sure to inspire some down-home cynicism. We've added some California tourdates and more are on the way. Y'all check back now, ya hear? Thanks to all the folks who came out to the shows, and special thanks to our tour-hosts, Stormer, Jason, Rikk and the Gang. Alright then. We're two months into the new decade and we've got an update for ya. We've been putting this year together, debating between touring or writing a new record. Since the last release (DOUBLE LIVE DVD/CD release, Rate Of Change LIVE, available for purchase here or at many fine retailers in your area) is just a behbeh at eight months old, we're hittin' the road. We've got some cool shows coming your way and more dates in the works. The NAMM show this year was as great as ever, if not better than ever. Can't say the same for the tour diary and gallery, unless you are a fart-fan. A fan of farts. And while down in Anaheim, we confiscated the highly sought after Randy Allar vs. TLB 2009 interview, with the clever diversion of a bloomin' onion and Hot Wheels chitchat. Lastly, a couple of bits from Ms.Young. Hope you enjoy... We miss "out there" and we're happy, no, no... tickled, to be gearing up for 2010 - The Year We Make Contact. See you. |

We've posted some dates for 2010... why not start the year off right with some TLB love? Oh yeah, in case you're paying attention, we did a little switcheroo on the ol' tourdates page. It's November? Wha the? Wha happen? We've got pumpkins to launch, turkeys to stuff, it's apocalyptically dark out in the afternoon and it feels like we've been abducted by aliens or Germans. The UFO tour freaking ROCKED. Wish you all coulda been there, we had such a great, great time. Our humble thanks to the crew and band for having us out, making us feel so welcome and being just so damn cool. Just really, really cool and great. So before TLB's hibernation officially begins, we deliver unto you, dear readers, another fat update. Nine tour diary videos. NINE...heh, heh, heh. Again, from New York to San Francisco, come travel with us and experience the harrowing adventures, such as "Don't Let 'Em Catch You With Your Pants Down", or "Puter Schnitzel", and of course the family classic "I Got A Rock". These films not yet rated by the Motion Picture Association of America but are available here. And a gallery. Big, fat and ugly. A couple of yarns (or "yawns", as it were) from Miss Young and finally, check out the tourdates for the latest on any end-o-the-year TLB shows... And with that... We leave tomorrow for another two week tour, headed East to rock with UFO. But first, we put together a nice fat update. The band is burning, baby....and reeking of rock and roll. Check out the big ol' bloated ROC LIVE East/West Coast Tour gallery, weighing in at over two hundred pics (and that was slimmed down from over four-hundred-gazillion-thousand and four). And the tour diaries. Seven glorious video tour diaries, delicately arranged, featuring candid moments, heartfelt words and lots of stupid crap. From New York to San Francisco, travel with us and experience the honor, the glory, the TOUR. As always, head on over to Facebook for "real-time" updates. We've added or updated a few tourdates, check your calendars. And finally, a couple of new articles from Jennifer about airplanes and baseball and such. Thanks for coming out to the shows, making us feel so welcome in your hometowns, sharing your Muskateers bars and RC colas with us. And super-special thanks to you behind-the-scenes guys who help make things a little easier on us. No, you. You. |

The band is in full-force tour mode and yes, we are excited to announce that we will be on tour with veteran hard-rockers UFO (PHIL MOGG - VINNIE MOORE - ANDY PARKER - PAUL RAYMOND) for parts of their North American tour. We're looking forward to playing some exceptional venues, visiting some new towns and as always, making new friends. Catch TLB while you can, 'cause hibernation season is on its way. Check the tourdates page for all the info... did ya see all them dates? Lots of dates. Mmmm, donuts. We recently returned from the first West Coast leg of the ROC LIVE tour and what a rollicking good time we had. Diligently documented by us, check out the new tourdiary video, featuring fruit, and Trav's daily updates on Facebook (grumble). Sincere thanks to our lovely hosts Electro-Voice for making us sound so damn good. Also posted are the latest reviews from Progression Magazine and Bass Player Magazine, what nice things they have to say. Shucks. Coming soon, a plethora of gallery photos from the tour and bits of wisdom from Miss Young and Moon. But first, we gotta go pack... "Well

After months of planning and preparation, those little "tentatives" have turned into "confirms" on the tourdates page. It ain't easy getting an instrumental fusion band to and fro, but to and fro we are. West coast to the East, the ROC LIVE tour is in full swing and we're ready to get down to business providing the instrumental-fusion soundtrack for your unique and exceptional life. Whoa. So, please, please (insert whiny, begging here) come out and support the band so we can keep coming back, to and fro. In other quick news, check out the September issue of Bass Player Magazine for a nice little sumpthin-sumpthin on the new Rate of Change LIVE CD, featuring our very own Miss Young. And in case you STILL haven't acquired the newly released Rate of Change LIVE DVD and/or CD, time's a wastin', friend. Carpe diem. Ahh yes, and be on the lookout for TLB/UFO dates this October. Yep. The updates have been a little scarce, but that's because TLB has been hard at work trying to pull together a bunch of "stuff". Oh and we were on the road... Blast, blast, blast, blast, blast. Thanks to everyone for coming out to the shows and special thanks to all our friends and family who put us up, or rather, put up with us on this tour. There's also a new gallery, some ramblings from Jen and you just gotta waste the next 55 minutes enjoying our lovely interview with Victrola from Guitar Shop Radio. We love you Victrola! Rate of Change LIVE is now available on iTunes. Gather up all them shiny pennies, browse on over there and "download", baby. Tourdates. The stuff is still lining up but we've got a bushel-full of dates. A what? We're headed North and South and hey, we're headed East again. We just can't get enough of that Skyline Chili. Welcome to a new look here at www.travislarsonband.com. Before we go any further, if anything looks funky, remember to REFRESH. It really does the trick, in all aspects of life. So, cruise around the site, check out some video and sound clips from the new DVD and CD, visit the tourdates page to see where the band will be in the next couple of months. We're working hard to get out there and some things are still coming together. And hey, if we can't make it up to Alaska this time around, rumor has it there is a smokin' live TLB concert DVD floating around somewhere. TLB sincerely thanks you for your warm support and dedication. We can't WAIT to get out there and see you all again. "The future is not set. We're happy to announce that the CD/DVD masters were shipped off to the replicators and (knock-on-wood) we'll have some shiny new goodies in a few weeks. Starting May 1st, you can PRE-ORDER these bad boys and the first 100 pre-orders will be autographed and include a Limited Edition backstage pass and signed show ticket from the 10 year anniversary concert. In case you're not sure if your hard-earned, depression-era dollars should go toward a luxury item such as the Travis Larson Band - Rate of Change LIVE DVD and/or CD, please be assured that these items do fall under Mr. Maslow's academic model of "needs". If that claim still isn't enough to put your mind at ease, visit the videos page where you'll find four, count 'em FOUR, full-length songs from the ROC LIVE DVD. Ahem. And again, the link to the order page. In lieu of hosting one big, messy release party, the Travis Larson Band is taking the party on the road and coming to you! The band is anxiously gearing up for the road, working up some old tunes and dusting off the new ones. So, check out the tourdates, bring your friends, bring your smiles, bring some cake and wine, we're milking this sucker at least till the holidays. More tourdates on the way...we'll see you all soon! As we reflect upon the wonderful and amazing events of 2008, traveling near and far, playing so many cool shows, we can't help but revel in gratitude. May this new year bring you all the good stuff. Let's start off the year right with some new tourdates. TLB is out for just a little bit, stretching those legs, rubbing those eyes, scratching those "this and thats". Check the tourdates page for all the dirt. If you're attending the NAMM Show this year, it will surely reek of TLB, as the band is performing on all four days. We'll be signing stuff and playing stuff and it'll be cool. The band always looks forward to this "reunion" of sorts, however it must be said that we will surely miss our blood-brothers who are unable to attend this year. Dale will tie one on for you guys... So again, get yer butt over to the tourdates page and start filling up your January. We wish you all the very best for this New Year, and of course always. What can be said about such a glorious evening as that of September 18, 2008? In short, thank you. Our hearts were warmed by your presence, then set on fire by your enthusiasm. Together we celebrated each other, with honesty, integrity and happiness. We're pleased to announce that thousands of dollars were raised for the Rock for the Arts Education Scholarship... and lots of you guys went home with some pretty cool stuff. Again, thank you for supporting this effort. We took a sneak peek at some of the footage from the show. Whoa. We're all in for one helluva treat when this thing comes together. Our humble appreciation goes out to all the crew guys, camera guys, sound guys, lighting guys and any other guys our tired brains have left out. You were all amazing. And before we march off into the new season where the days are shorter, and the video editing seems endless, we've got one last little stretch of dates; visit the tourdates page for details. We've also added a new radio interview/on-air performance, from our local KZOZ 93.3, Jeff & Jeremy Morning Show, kinda fun, kinda silly and some new Rate of Change reviews. Finally, if you missed the show and therefore the unveiling of Moon's trimmed tresses, please enjoy his "Hair Diary". It can't be said enough... Thank you, thank you. Exactly one month from today the Travis Larson Band will celebrate their 10 year anniversary. Awww, ain't that cute? Cute as heckumms. So, let's roll out the details: Thursday, September 18, 2008 at the beautiful Clark Center Theater for the Performing Arts in Arroyo Grande, CA. Doors at 7:00PM, show at 7:30PM. As a benefit for Rock for the Arts - a South County Education Scholarship, we will be hosting a raffle featuring giveaways from Electro-Voice, Digitech, Ernie Ball, Vater, Sabian, Gibralter, Faultline Music and more! And these ain't just some polish rags and straps, friends:
Rock for the Arts promotes the performing arts and sponsors live concerts in an effort to provide educational scholarships for aspiring high school performers. With over a half dozen concert performances under it's belt (several with TLB!), Rock for the Arts has raised thousands of dollars in scholarship money for young performers since 2001. Raffle tickets are a mere dollar, so you can buy a bunch and feel good about your donation going to these kids' music programs. And hey! We're filming a DVD! A five-plus camera shoot with all the big bells and whistles and stuff. Check out the tourdates page for ticket information and a printable info sheet with hotel recommendations for all you out-of-towners. We're really looking forward to this event and sincerely hope you will join us in this celebration and documentation of ten years of TLB. |

Ahhhhh. Hard to believe TLB was rockin' Cleveland a mere "several" days ago and are now currently enjoying the temperate, DRY California weather. We had an amazing two weeks back east and are admittedly a little sad that it's over. Our tour hosts were more than gracious, more than fun, and even more cool as we rocked and rolled together (big truck). Thanks to all the crazy fans who came out, some of you guys traveled almost as far as we did! Everyone was awesome, we had a great time and we'll be back... Until then, check out the "Stop Before We Hit the Atlantic" tour memories on the Sights and Sounds pages... (you may notice a little re-vamping; with so much stuffis, it seemed time to organize a bit). On the Galleries page a whopper east coast collection, two-hundred-some-odd pics to poke through. Then on the Interviews page, the ever-entertaining Randy Allar vs. TLB. Sixty-eight minutes of silliness and debauchery as only Randy Allar knows how to provide. And if you haven't been keeping up, visit the Tour Diaries page featuring four slices of TLB touring life from "not that long ago". As always, check out the Tourdates page, only a few more shows left before TLB hits the woodshed to gear up for the 10 year anniversary concert and DVD filming. Don't worry, we won't let you forget. Still to come....articles, journals and bears, oh my! |

Like a Thanksgiving Day meal that takes 10 hours to cook and 10 minutes to eat, such is this update. And it's huge, so chew on this for awhile... Travis Larson Band is proud to announce that 2008 marks the band's 10 year anniversary. Ten big ones, a whole decade, two hundred and sixty or so fortnights, a half a score... and one helluva ride. And we're just barely getting started, baby. So, to celebrate we're having a party... Save the date: SEPTEMBER 18, 2008. TLB will be performing a 10 year celebration show that will be filmed for a new DVD release. This is your chance to be part of TLB celluloid history. And while we're at it, why not help us pick the songs for the DVD? Held at the beautiful Clark Center Theater, on the Central Coast of California, this show promises to be an event you won't want to miss. More details as we get closer. But save that date. September 18. Go get yer calendar. Next. Featured on the TLB.com homepage is a new gallery briefly chronicling the years of banded-bliss that we've shared. We dug around in those old archives and found some truly old shit. If you somehow missed it or are unable to view that fancy flash content, check it out in all it's analog glory. Next. Whilst digging around, we stumbled upon a plethora of video from our first record - Travis Larson Band S/T. Back then it seemed like so much fun to videotape hours upon hours of Dale's drum tracking. Not so much fun ten years later to sort through hours and hours of Dale's drum tracking. Nevertheless, we persevered and humbly present "From The Vault - 1998". Six video vignettes from the moment in time when TLB was birthed. Next. Speaking of birthed, Travis has a new baby...guitar. And a bunch of other new gear updates, shocking, I know. Next. Tourdates. The Travis Larson Band will be performing for six days at the Summerfest, the World's Largest Music Festival, in Milwaukee, WI. This is huge. The "fusion band that could" will be rockee in milwaukee. What? Then, it looks like we're east bound and down, loaded up and truckin' on the Digi-Truck for another go - we're gonna do what they say can't be done. What? Ahem, check the tourdates for all the latest. Next. Some out of stock T-shirt sizes have been re-stocked. Merchandise... Mmmm, good. Next. Journals, journals, journals. By Moon. And maybe check in on Jen. Finally, about this whole ten years thing. It's sort of a big deal and Travis Larson Band is privileged to say thank you to everyone who tirelessly comes out to see us perform, year in and year out. We've known some of you for all of those years and look forward to knowing the rest of you for many years to come. Keep telling your friends, keep bringing your brother-in-law and his cousin "Al". Keep saying hi, laughing at Trav's silly stories, yelling "Mooooon" during the drum solo, and hassling Jen about whatever. We don't do this for the gold, but for the glory. And without you we would have naught. "Though we live in trying times, we're the ones who have to try. Though we know that time has wings, we're the ones who have to fly." - N.P. |

Happy New Year and Valentine's Day. Two birds... So, the Travis Larson Band is off to a great start this year taking a little time off, re-charging those batteries and getting a full year's worth of flu's and colds out of the way in just one month. 'Cause that's how we roll... Word is that the band may be headed to the Southern states on the next installment of the Digi-Truck Tour. Keep an eye on the tourdates for info on that and more. The band recently returned from the Winter NAMM show. Held every year in Anaheim, CA, the show is always a great time to see old friends, hear and see the greatest musicians in the world and chow. Check out the new gallery with pics from the NAMM show featuring TLB performances at the Digitech booth, and R.E.T. We also threw in some holiday fun stuff... Also, check out this insightful tour-ogrophy by Dave Martone chronicling our last Digi-Tour with his "Shredmaster Highness". And who is that cute girl on his YouTube video? Finally, 2008 marks the ten year anniversary for yours truly, TLB. But more on that later.... "The point of the journey is not to arrive, the point of departure is not to return." - N.P |

While it's still a little early, MERRY CHRISTMAS, yo. TLB had such fun on the recent Digi-Tour, we didn't want to come home. But alas, we are home and taking a little break from the road. Check out the new gallery with far too many pics of TLB just being goofy. Visit Digitech.com for the best in signal processing.... As 2007 comes to a close we'd like to thank all of you for your support and gracious friendship throughout the year. We couldn't do it without you. Visit the tourdates page for one final 2007 show on New Year's Eve. Hope to ring in 2008 with you all. "Every time we love, every time we give, it's Christmas." |

Holy moly, what a time TLB had on our Midwest - East coast jaunt. SUCH a great time, we'll never be the same, and we're ready for the next trip! Our hugest, most humblest thanks to Electro-Voice, Sam Ash and all the great fans who came out to support the band. So, a big update for ya. Check out the EV/Sam Ash Midwest - East coast 2007 VIDEO. Hours and hours of lame tourist video crammed into four luscious minutes for you, our dear viewers. And whatever didn't make it on the video can surely be found on the new GALLERY of nearly 150 pics. And if that doesn't quite get you through the day, feel free to waste 87 minutes listening to the Fusion Show with Randy Allar vs. TLB. All topics covered, all unedited, live radio baby. Finally, Jennifer contributes three highly introspective articles about her usual nothingness. And check out Moon's sixteen, count 'em, SIXTEEN journal entries. Guy likes to write. Check out the tourdates page for details on the upcoming DIGI-TRUCK tour in November as well as a few other bits here and there. Our season is winding down, get some TLB while you still can! Remember to chew well and always with your mouth closed... or open, makes no difference really. |

We are happy to announce that TLB will be making it out East in just a few short weeks. Our gracious sponsors, Electro-Voice, are planning some awesome events, giving away lots of FREE stuff, and will blow yer minds with the incredible gear. Visit samashmusic.com or electrovoice.com for the skinny, and visit our tourdates page for all the dates. While we had hoped to visit alot more of you guys on this run, we've pulled together what we could and plans are being made for a more extensive tour next year. Please, please (insert whiny, begging here) come out and support the band so we can come back. And so you're not feeling empty handed with just a lousy tour update, we added a new gallery featuring stuff from the last couple of months. Clinics, guitars, scars, weddings, sand, shows and watermelons. Cleveland Rocks! |

Check it out... the Digi-Montage. Four whole minutes of Digi-Fun capturing the shows, the setup, the behind-the-scenes silliness and lots of big truck shots. Grab a Snickers and enjoy! Next, a day by day journal accounting of the Norhtwest tour, brought to you by Moon. Thoughtful, insightful, dramatic and inspiring. Twenty-some entries, you'd better get started... And for a change of pace, four new entries by our very own "I'm not a pessimist, I'm a realist", Miss Young. Finally, a few new tourdates have been added, including a very special show with the amazing Hectic Watermelon, a progressive "Post-Zappa Commando-Fusion" action-music band from San Diego. Their recently released album, The Great America Road Trip, features Jerry Goodman (of Mahavishnu Orchestra and Dixie Dregs). A show not to be missed. And in case you hadn't heard, the TLB Midwest/East coast tour has been postponed to September. Details coming soon... swear. |

Having just returned from an eighteen-day Northwest tour, the Travis Larson Band is in good shape, good spirits and ready for eighteen days of sleep. But alas, not to be had. The tour was a great success, given the sunstroke, exhaustion and potentially life-threatening blow-out on the I-5. Most humble thanks to all of our fans who came out, our gracious friends who gave us shelter and our families who helped us make rent this month. We had an amazing time with the Digi-Truck Gang and we look forward to the next tour. "Take Luck". So, just to wet the ol' appetite, we've posted a new gallery of the last few weeks, some updated tourdates and the always entertaining, "Travis Larson Band live-in-the-studio interview" with Victrola, Guitar Shop, KPSU 98.3 FM. In the next week or so, keep an eye out for a new video montage, probably a mess of Moon Journals and we will likely have a more solid East Coast itinerary. Until then, fellow Americans... Peek-A-Boo... Here we are. After taking a bit of time off you people may have begun to wonder "whatever happened to..."? Well, still here, still kickin' and still living the dream. Travis Larson Band is headed North again, this time on the Digitech DIGI-TRUCK-TOUR!! (Please use your best Don Pardo impression here.) The DIGI-TRUCK, a freaking fabulous fifty-three-foot showcase of guitar effects and modeling, will be bringing "The Power To Create" to a music store near you. Featuring live performances by the Travis Larson Band. August has the band heading East. While the Midwest - East Coast tour is still in the planning stages, dates will be posted soon. Visit the tourdates page often for details. A couple of goodies for ya... Since the birth of travislarsonband.com way back in 1998, when the internet was still slobbering drool all over itself, a TLB guitar gallery was never created. Until now... Drum roll, please. The new Guitar and Bass galleries, featuring Travis and Jennifer's MAIN instruments. (insert cheesy segue here) Speaking of drum rolls, check out the videos page for a happenin' video montage of Dale Moon's recent drum clinic, held at the Drum Circuit. Then go visit the galleries page for entirely too many pictures of Dale Moon's recent drum clinic, held at the Drum Circuit. It's Moon Month. And well, I guess it's about time that TLB has joined the ranks and acquired their very own MySpace page. Visit us there at www.myspace.com/thetravislarsonband. But visit us here first. Finally, hope your summer plans are shaping up nicely and we expect to see your smiley mugs out on the road less traveled. |

We know you've been dying for a tasty glimpse of the TLB life, so we've got one for ya. Check out the Sights and Sounds page where you'll find a brand spankin' new video - a highlights reel featuring the Rate Of Change recording sessions, the ROC California and NorthWest tour (thus far), and NAMM all smashed into nine minutes of Windows Media Pleasure. Enjoy... We've been taking a bit of time off for gear maintenance and updating. Travis and Jennifer are now sporting new pedalboards, downsizing a bit for upcoming travels. Well, "downsizing" might be a strong word. Our thanks to the fine people at PedalTrain and Georg L's Cable for their help with this project. A few tourdates have been added, one worth special mention: Thursday, March 29, the Drum Circuit in San Luis Obispo, CA will host a free drum clinic featuring our very own Dale Moon. Lots of door prizes, lots of drumming. Check it out. And we'll see ya... |

We've been threatening to throw an update at ya for a couple of weeks now, and finally we were able to make good on our word. The last month has been filled with non-stop TLB action (read: working our butts off) and we've got the goods to prove it. Check out the TWO new galleries: First, a complete depiction of this year's NAMM show, through the camera eye. Thanks to Electro-Voice, Digitech and R.E.T. Percussion for hosting all the cool TLB booth performances. And a special thanks to the crew for lugging our junk around for four days, all in the name of free shows and free room & board. Second, the ROC tour as of yet, featuring photography by Jason Nielsen. Next, read the always enlightening journal entries by Moon. Twelve new stories, ramblings, rants, raves and Moon-isms for your reading pleasure. Ahh yes, and Jennifer contributes as well with her... one. Check out the tourdates page as we've added a few shows for March. More coming soon, so keep an eye out. More stuff on the

Holy Smokes, another year down the tubes... and how we'll miss good ol' 2006. Let's start off the year right with a bunch of new tourdates! TLB is once again conquering Cali with a mess of dates from San Diego up to Sacramento, starting with the annual "Jen's B-day Bash". Check the tourdates page for all the dirt. If you're attending the NAMM Show this year, it will surely reek of TLB, as the band (or a version thereof) is performing at three different booths on all four days as well as some special NAMM Show events. We'll be giving away stuff and signing stuff and playing stuff and it'll be cool. Travis claims this to be his favorite time of year, and why not? You've seen the NAMM pics. So again, get yer butt over to the tourdates page and start filling up your calendar. We wish you all the very best for this New Year, and of course always. It seems the Holidays are upon us since the James Bond extravaganza on Spike starts tonight, and TLB is grudgingly taking a break during this time to catch up, re-charge and do some baking. In September TLB was informed that they were nominated for three JPF awards. Started as an informal way to recognize independent music, the JPF Music Awards has grown to become the largest Music Awards program in the world and is fast becoming touted as the 'Independent Grammys'. For the 2006 Awards JPF received 350,000 songs and over 25,000 albums in 67 genres from 85 Countries. The sole criteria for judges is "Does it move you?" The band attended the awards ceremony just a couple of weeks ago, and happily TLB brought home the Instrumental Rock Album award for Burn Season. Congrats guys, and thanks to Brian Austin Whitley and the people at JPF for this awesome recognition. Visit the gallery page for pics of this prestigious event as well as gobs of stuff from the Northwest tour, the Central Coast Guitar Competition where both Travis and Dale judged this year, and the MusicLab Guitar Clinic. Speaking of ... check out the videos page where we're bringing the clinic to you. Or at least you can see what yer missin'. Also, Dale has been at it again with his documentation of the TLB life, as only Moon can tell it. Visit his journals and read the 20-something new entries. Upcoming updates include more video from the tour, new tourdates, and maybe Jennifer will have a thing or two to say. And don't forget that the TLB merchandise makes the BEST Christmas presents! Thank you for coming out to the shows, for all your kindness, for all your smiles and for believing. Stand up, on this Thanksgiving Day, stand upon your feet. Believe in man. Soberly and with clear eyes, believe in your own time and place. There is not, and there never has been a better time, or a better place to live in. ~Phillips Brooks |

Welcome to a new look here at www.travislarsonband.com. Before we go any further, if anything looks funky, remember to REFRESH. It really does the trick, in all aspects of life. The band has spent the last few weeks getting everything ready for the release of Rate Of Change and we're truly excited, if not exhausted too. So, cruise around the new site, check out some sound clips from the new record, visit the updated gear pages - everybody went nuts again with new rigs. Be sure to read the latest and greatest from Moon's journals, and take a peek at the Rate Of Change Production Gallery. Finally, visit the tourdates where you'll find all the details on the CD Release Concert, September 23, links to some pre-release radio interviews, and keep an eye out for a NorthWest tour in the following months. We'll be adding more Rate Of Change stuffis in the next few weeks, but this ought to hold you for a bit. TLB sincerely thanks you for your warm support and dedication. We can't WAIT to get out there and see you all again. |

If patience really is a virtue, then our fans are truly the most virtuous people to walk the earth. Maybe even so, patience aside. Rate Of Change the fourth full-length record by the Travis Larson Band will be released internationally on October 3, 2006. Featuring 12 all new and original tracks covering the dynamic gamut with adventurous solos, deep moods and searing musicianship. Track Listing: Sticks
and Stones The band has also set the release concert date of Saturday, September 23 at Hoover's in Atascadero, California. We will have a huge pile of details for you in the next couple of weeks, but in the meantime, mark your calendars! September 23! Our apologies for being so mysterious the last several months. We've really been busting some hump and are still up to the ol' eyeballs in looming deadlines. Dale finished tracking less than a week ago and mixdown begins in a matter of days. Lots of stuff headed your way, not to mention a whole new album. We've added a few bits to keep you appetized while waiting for the main course. Dale has documented the whole "situation" that lead up to rehearsing for and recording this cd in his journal page. Read all about the trials and tribulations that nearly led to an album titled "The vandalizing, assaulting, jackasses upstairs". Ha, just teasing (or, am I?). But really worth the read... Also, a few pics from the drum sessions, we'll have a proper production gallery in the next few weeks. Thanks for hanging in there with us. Waiting sucks, but it will be worth it... promise. |

Our most sincere apologies for the lack of updates as of late. If I tell you it's all because the band is working feverishly on getting this new record finished, would that make it better? It's true. The songs are amazing, the recording is moving along; Travis and Jennifer are only two tunes away from being finished with tracking, while Dale is scheduled to hit the studio in late June, but due to powers beyond our control, might be more like late July. You'll hear all about it, to be sure. The album title is ever-elusive and still one has not been settled on. September is still the goal, but no clear release date has been set. These things are definitely coming together and we should have more solid information very soon... very soon, grasshoppa. In the meantime, check out the tourdates page as the band will be playing a couple of pre-album-release warm up shows, including the Day of Creative Women featuring our very own Ms. Young. And I guess Travis will be there too... Also more Ebay action, the last of the Boogie bits... The Mark I's. More to come soon... I swear on my still living mother's grave. Thank you for your patience, your understanding and your ever-growing commitment to the good and pure rock 'n roll. |

Happy New Year, TLB friends.... Yeah, yeah, so it's February. We've been so caught up in marveling at how wonderful and amazing last year was, getting to see so many of you guys, playing so many cool shows... well, we lost track of a month or so. Anyhoo, we do sincerely hope your New Year is off to a great start and you are kickin' ass at whatever it is you kick ass at. (insert big ol' smiley face here). In case you haven't heard, the Burn Season tour (affectionately named the BS tour) is officially over. The band is furthermore, officially working on a new record. Yes, it's true. Songs are literally flying out of Travis' soul and we've had to up his sugar intake. No details yet on the particulars like album title or release schedule, but we'll keep you posted. As far as updates go, check out the new Winter 2006 Gallery with pics of this year's NAMM show (we left out the incriminating one's of Dale's debauchery, but maybe someday he'll tell you all about it), and some cool show pics. There are a few updates to Travis' gear page, stuff he's been using for quite awhile now, but our lazy web guru just got around to letting you in on it. Incidentally, much of the gear (Trav and Dale as usual) will alas be changing with the release of the new record and new tour. So let's look forward to that... And still speaking of gear, Travis is always asked about that "little cell phone thingy" on his guitar. Well, here's the full scoop... Travis has been using the Shadow midi converter for over a decade so that's sayin' somethin'. With Burn Season behind us we've speculated on some of those tunes and included our ramblings on the Track by Track page. Enjoy. Okay. So, we'll be working on that new record... in the meantime you guys stay loose, stay on track and we'll see ya when we see ya. |

Merry Christmas, Peace and Love to you all. "Let us pray that strength and courage abundant be given to all who work for a world of reason and understanding, that the good that lies in every man's heart may day by day be magnified, that men will come to see more clearly not that which divides them, but that which unites them, that each hour may bring us closer to a final victory, not of nation over nation, but of man over his own evils and weaknesses, that the true spirit of this Christmas season - it's joy, its beauty, its hope, and above all its abiding faith - may live among us, that the blessings of peace be ours - the peace to build and grow, to live in harmony and sympathy with others, and to plan for the future with confidence." -Unknown |

We're in the home-stretch for 2005, friends. Hard to believe, but true nonetheless. And even harder to believe, TLB is winding down the BS tour. Yep. November 26 will be the last TLB show of the year, it's Thanksgiving weekend so come out and give thanks that you're still alive and kickin' and rockin''. Until then, visit us in the Bay area the next couple of weeks. Check the tourdates for all the goods. We'd like to thank all the folks who came out for the Katrina Benefit Concert, sponsored by Faultline Music. We had a great time, the show was awesome and if you weren't there, you missed some smokin' dueling between Travis and kid-wonder Keith Perry. Check out the gallery for these pics as well as some really great shots from our Northern California and San Diego tours and the Central Coast Guitar Competition. Speaking of, Travis was asked to judge at this year's Guitar Competition along with Dino Cazares best known for his stint with Fear Factory. The kids all did pretty good, and wouldn't you know who won? Kid-wonder himself. In other news, we were humbled to be a part of last month's Katrina fund raising effort sponsored by CDBaby.com. In the end, it raised a total of $165,060 sent directly to the Red Cross disaster Relief Fund. Cool, huh? Oh yeah, check out a new interview with our very own Jennifer Young at bassgirls.com. Everything you wanted to know, but not really. Finally, as mentioned before the BS tour will officially end in January (barring any unforseen lottery wins), and it is rumored that work will begin on a new album. As always, you didn't hear that from me.... Stay warm and look up once in awhile. |

Today marks the last day of summer, and tomorrow my friends, the first day of fall. None too happy about that, but the Autumn season does have it's charm... and there's pumpkins. We have a little bit of an update for you and some news. First off, our most heartfelt sympathy to those who have suffered Hurricane Katrina's wrath and devastation. In our most humble effort to be of some help, all proceeds from any TLB cds purchased through CDBaby.com will go directly to the American Red Cross. So if you are looking for a good reason to buy some music, there it is. On Saturday, October 15 we will be performing at the Hurricane Katrina Relief Concert, along with Keith Perry & Crucial Point, at the Los Osos Community Center. Tickets are $10 at the door, doors open at 6:30. All proceeds to benefit the American Red Cross. And enter to win a new electric guitar and other groovy prizes. Please come out and support this cause; let's get some of those folks back on their feet, shall we? See the KSBY news coverage of this event. Finally, check out some new drum journals, updates to the summer picture gallery, and new tourdates. More news headed your way very soon, friends. Stay tuned. |

Summer, summer, summer... turns me upside down. And we've got an update. Seems our boy Moon has been HOARDING his little journals. HOARDING, I say. Check out all forty new entries covering the Burn Season sessions, the always-entertaining-show-shenanigans, and even some deeper glimpses into that big ol' noggin of his. While you're at it you can read all about Travis and Jennifer's adventure into the great Northwest. The shows were alot of fun, the people were sweet as pie and Northwest Guitars RULES! Thank you to all of our lovely hosts, friends and fans for making the trip so memorable. We'll be back! New galleries include the BS Tour - Summer 2005. While there don't seem to be alot of performance pictures, there is one really amazing shot of a fully-loaded carrot truck. Thank you to Alp for bringing us a bunch of cool images from the Rock Show release party back in 2003; they've been added to the shows gallery. On the reviews page you'll find some new write-ups, including one from the latest Progression Magazine. We've been thoroughly enjoying all the fanmail and found one correspondence particularly entertaining. But seriously folks, thanks to all of you who take the time to reach out, it really means alot. Finally, TLB would like to take a moment to honor a fellow rocker who passed this last week. For many years Peter Will has been an incredible source of entertainment for TLB, in the way he truly embodied what it meant to "rock & roll". He was practically a legend in our minds, and we'll miss him. Pete, may you finally find peace. |

tattoo has earned him a very special place in our hearts, but don't
hold out for any BS tattoos, okay Bill? Love ya man. |

Ahhh well, Spring is in the air, kiddies. And man, are they going to show anything but Rocky III on AMC? First off, a HUGE thanks to all of you supporters who came out to the Tsunami Benefit concert on February 26. It was a great success, a great show and a great bunch of folks who attended that night. We were honored to perform for you all. Check out some pics from the show... The Travis Larson Band will be performing another benefit concert on April 9, Rock for the Arts -- Day on the Green, featuring Jefferson Starship, at the Avila Resort. This promises to be a grooovy show, so come on Sara, grab somebody to love and let's runaway. I dunno... The winter tour was refreshing and cold. We've been having a good deal of fun, in all kinds of weather and in all kinds of places. We've seen some friendly faces out there and whole-heartedly love ya for it. Check out the latest and greatest pics. A bunch of new dates are up -- nothing's gonna stop us now, while we're layin' it on the line. Heh, heh. Finally, there's some neato stuff on the horizon. We'll keep you posted... |

Alrighty, 'bout time for an update. Phew... these last several weeks have been chock full of craziness, out and about playing here, playing there, meeting folks and greeting old friends. First off, the TLB/SMB/Dregs show was smokin'. All agreed that the venue's sound kinda sucked, but nonetheless an amazing show was seen and (somewhat) heard by all. Next, TLB and crew had a blast at this year's NAMM show. While Travis and Jennifer were working stiffs this year at the EV booth, the band found time to see some cool shows, hang with long time friends and as always, check out the latest and greatest gear. Check out some pics from the SMB show and NAMM. The Travis Larson Band is performing a Tsunami Relief Benefit Concert on Saturday, February 26 at 6:30 pm with special guests Crucial Point. All proceeds will go to the International Red Cross. We'd really like to urge our friends and fans to support this cause, and maybe you have already. These people will need help for a long while to come, so lets support this cause some more. The concert is being held at the South Bay Community Center in Los Osos, CA. There will be lots of really cool raffle prizes, and you guessed it -- we're giving away a guitar! Tickets are $7 for students 18 and under, $15 bucks for adults and are available at the door. For more information call 805-534-0259. This will be a very cool show, for the most worthy of causes so please come on out. In upcoming show news, tickets are now available for the TLB/Jefferson Starship "Rock for the Arts" show on April 9. As always check out the tourdates page for the latest. Finally, thank you everybody. Our little hearts are so warmed by your support, enthusiasm, encouragement and all that squishy stuff. It's gonna be a really great year.... |

Happy New Year, friends! All of us here at TLB headquarters hope your holidays were the best ever and wish you the best New Year ever. Remember that it's up to YOU to make it so... Reflecting on this past year we realize how fortunate we are in so many ways -- too many to list here. So in brief, thank you everyone -- you've all contributed to our good fortune just in the smiles you bring with you to the shows. So, keep 'em coming! We've got dates posted for ya. Finally, we get to go out and PLAY. Something like thirty shows coming up, all shapes and sizes, something for everyone. So get out and do some music groovin'. And pick up the new album Burn Season while you're at it (just in case for some bizarre reason you haven't already bought the four copies you need for home, car, work and Uncle Bob). ANOTHER REMINDER (and certainly not the last) to get your Dregs/SMB/TLB Ventura Theater tickets for January 19. Word about this show is spreading like wildfire, make sure you don't get left out in the seventeen inches of California rain. Finally, if you're heading out to the NAMM show this year catch TLB at the Electro-Voice booth. Four sets a day, all four days. We'll be giving away stuff and signing stuff and playing stuff and it'll be cool. Exact times to be announced. Surround yourself in the glory and fluorescent weirdness that is "The NAMM Show". And if you're not headed out to NAMM, that sucks. Okay, more updates as we get 'em. See you in the new year and remember to keep a stiff upper lip. |

Fa-La-La-La-La, deck the halls, HO-HO-HO, jing-a-ling-a-ling, ding-dong-ding-dong -- I sound like a freakin' nut. But Happy Holidays, nonetheless. Sometime around September TLB was informed that they were nominated for six JPF awards. What in the hell is a JPF award you may ask. Well... Started as an informal way to recognize independent music, the JPF Music Awards has grown to become the largest Music Awards program in the world and is fast becoming touted as the 'Independent Grammys'. For the 2004 Awards JPF received 140,000 songs and over 10,000 albums in 58 genres from 85 Countries. The sole criteria for judges is "Does it move you?" We attended the awards ceremony in November, and happily TLB swept the Instrumental Rock category taking home two trophies and four nomination certificates. The Big Snuggle Up took first place for Best Rock Instrumental song (not really sure about that one), while Transcendental Dream received fourth place. Wilma and Squeeze & Shake were the other song nominees. Travis Larson Band S/T took first place for Best Rock Instrumental album and the Suspension album was the other album nominee. The JPF award is statistically more difficult to win than a Grammy and TLB scored TWO. Can you believe that? We'd like to thank Brian Austin Whitley and the people at JPF for this awesome recognition. Check out photos from the Music Awards Show (courtesy of David Sobel and Richard Carr). Congratulations to our very own Dale Moon who is now exclusively endorsing Sabian cymbals. He is so excited about his new relationship with the fine folks up there in the Great White North, he incessantly mutters something about a "cymbal vault". Check out his new setup. Yay Dale! We've got a ton of upcoming shows for the new year. TLB is spreading out a bit, hitting new towns, new venues and new funny faces. We'll post the dates soon. DON'T FORGET to get your Dregs/SMB/TLB Ventura Theater tickets for January 19. They make a PERFECT Christmas gift for your loved ones and even more perfect birthday gifts for all of those January-born friends of yours. May your holiday season be safe, warm and bright, full of good smells and good eats. Remember to take some time out for contemplation, relaxation and elation. Rock On. |

Helllloooo, my little babies. It's November and the TLB found time to update. First off, thanks to everyone who came out to the shows these last couple of months. The Burn Season release concert went OFF! We had such a great time seeing all of you, catching up and workin' the new tunes. And FINALLY the big guitar giveaway actually went to one of our coolest fans on the planet. Third time's the charm. Check out pics from the show and again, thank you to Electro-Voice and MusicMan for supplying the cool prizes. All of the shows were fun, some were ridiculous; we expect some road stories from Moon by the next update (you reading this, Moon?) Now for the big one.... TRAVIS LARSON BAND, STEVE MORSE BAND AND THE DIXIE DREGS all in one night. January 19, 2005 at the Ventura Theater, in lovely Ventura, California. What an amazing show this promises to be... It's been four years since the Steve Morse Band has toured, the Dregs, well jeez you can never see the Dregs enough times. And of course TLB... enough said. So, we're selling specially priced tickets through travislarsonband.com. No markup, no "handling fee", no shipping fees, just a straight $30 clams. That's only ten bucks for each band - three of the most kickass instrumental, rock-fusion bands on the planet. AND with each ticket order we'll send you a FREE copy of the new Burn Season album, as our little way of saying "thank you" for your support. Here's how to purchase tickets: Click on the "tickets" button, this will take you to a secure PayPal page where you may purchase with your credit card. Otherwise you can send a check or money order to Precision Records, PO Box 14803, San Luis Obispo, CA 93406-4803. Please provide your address so we can mail your tickets via first class mail. Tickets ordered after January 12 will be available at will call the night of the show. Email anytime at all with any questions. On to the site updates. We've spent a couple of days sifting through recent studio footage and have put together a little video montage, if you will, of the Burn Season recording sessions. It's pretty cool. While you're checking that out you can also read Jen's new retrospective. Always bitterly entertaining. And finally we've added a new gallery of the last couple of months. While the camera was forgotten at most of the shows, there are a few pics in there. That's all for now. Buy those tickets. Make the TLB/SMB/Dregs show your New Year's resolution to get out and see kick-ass live music, 'cause there's just nothing better in life and no better way to start a new year! |

We’ve
been given the green light to spill some beans about Burn Season,
the third album by the Travis Larson Band. The release date is officially
September 17, 2004. This album has been a labor of love for the band and
we’re sure the fans will be hungry to devour the twelve new tracks.
Burn Season features special guest performances by Steve Lukather (Toto, Los Lobotomys) and Vinx (Sting, Herbie Hancock, Branford Marsalis). Art direction and design by the legendary Hugh Syme (Rush, Aerosmith, Queensryche). Travis and Luke deliver an amazing tribute to Jeff Beck on an instrumental version of “People Get Ready”. Both guitarists cover the dynamic gamut with adventurous solos, deep moods and searing lines. And just who is Vinx? Most people know him as one man. One voice. One drum. As you will discover, Vinx is much more. We present “Seclusion (With You)”, an exploration into haunting vocal harmonies and hypnotic percussion arrangements. Track Listing: Nevele Samples from the Burn Season CD, video clips, studio photos and personal musings about the making of Burn Season will be available on www.travislarsonband.com in just a few short weeks. Please join us for the Burn Season CD Release Concert, September 17, 2004 at the Clark Center in Arroyo Grande, CA. As always, we will have the traditional “Guitar Giveaway” drawing and you can be sure the new album Burn Season will be available at the show. More details to be announced in the following weeks. Mark your calendars and come celebrate with the Travis Larson Band! |

Featuring a couple of amazing guest appearances, all we're gonna say is... people get ready! In the meantime, you'll just have to wait. The band has been so inspired, focused and dedicated to creating the record worth waiting for. Till next time...

Hope
your holidays were... magically delicious. Ours were. And no one even
spent New Year's Eve in the pokey. Ha! Now onto some bidness. We've got a quick little update for ya. As you well know, Travis just can't handle being cooped up for long. We're gonna play just a few shows next week to shake off that holiday cookie dust. Then off to the NAMM show for four full days of gear, gear and well, more gear. Then back to the shed. You'll be happy to know things are running smooth as slickery snot. The songs are great, the pre-production rehearsals are great, the art concepts are great. Everything is just so freakin' great. Finally for you techies, we managed the website server changeover with relative efficiency. If something seems buggy to you, let us know. Ahem, thank you for your patience during this process. The year is already shaping up nicely and we're only four days in! May your New Year be prosperous, warm, cozy, shiny, sparkly, and generally lacking in bullshit. |

Congratulations to Kelly Combs, the winner of the Ebay Travis Larson Ibanez Guitar auction. This is the guitar used to record the Travis Larson Band Suspension album, featuring a duet with Victor Wooten, and has shared stages with Ted Nugent, Trey Gunn, Gary Hoey... Kelly drove up to Avalon Recording Studio to pick up his new guitar and have it signed. Thanks, Kelly and enjoy your new axe! |

Well, the band is finally home for a little while and the new tunes are coming together nicely. Nicely, I say. We had a blast this year playing for all you folks. A big-wet-smoochie-kiss to all of you lovely people who came out to the shows. We’ve got a pretty decent site update for ya. There are a bunch of new gallery images, including some from the Clark Center, the Monterey Festival and other silly stuff. We’ve added a really great Rock Show review from Foundry Music. Enjoy the plethora of Moon’s Journals, tales from the road. And finally, we’ve put together a montage, if you will, of the Clark Center show. It was such a fun and cool show; if you were unable to attend check it out. On a technical note, we will be moving the TLB website to a new server in the next couple of weeks. In keeping up with the ever-changing issues of technology, this move will allow us to bring you a bigger, badder and better TLB site experience. The move should be fairly painless (yeah right), but in the event you see some weird stuff, don’t be too alarmed. So check out the new site goodies and enjoy the damn holidays. ENJOY THEM! Thank you for being the best fans on the planet. We look forward to seeing you next year. |

We’ve got some serious updatin’ to do so let’s get started: The band has been locked away working on new tunes for the next album, and all is going well. You’re gonna dig this stuff. While writing has been gratifying, the call of the wild has been pounding in Trav’s eardrums, so we’re going out for October. First show out of the gates is Rock For the Arts III, on Friday, October 3 at the Clark Center Theater in Arroyo Grande, CA. If you’ve been hankerin’ for some TLB, this is a MUST SEE show. The Clark Center is a beautiful, 600+ seat theater, with advanced lighting capabilities and a 20x20-foot projection screen. You know you’re gonna see some shit. Full show, full rigs, and a TLB multimedia experience to never be forgotten (at least till the next big show). Check out the radio ad (1.16 MB real media). And you can feel good about your participation, as proceeds from this show will benefit the music and arts programs in local schools. Joining us for this special event is Joose. They will perform their unique brand of music that spans all genres and styles at 7 pm. Tickets are only $5, it’s an early show and is sure to be some hot poo. Check out more TLB dates in October. Next, the new gear pages are up, the new gear pages are up. Hooo-yaaa! It’s about freakin’ time. As you may know, the last several months were dedicated to re-vamping Travis and Jen’s rigs. The process is now complete and they are basking in the glow. Check out Trav’s rig and Jen’s rig. Some additions and changes have been made to Dale’s setup also. We’ve also added nearly a dozen new tour memoirs. Be sure to spend your day at work catching up on the TLB shenanigans, as per Dale Moon. On the horizon: After October, TLB returns to the dark cave to write and write and write some more. Tentative studio dates in January and February are being worked out, so you may see a new TLB album next spring. But you didn’t hear it from me. |

. 10 . 03 |
By gosh it’s been some time since the last update. Our humble apologies. The band has been so freaking busy… but you’ve heard it all before. Here’s the plan, the big picture, the way things are gonna be: TLB is taking some time off from playing out, August and September to be exact. We need to stay home and write some damn tunes. While we’ve got a few “in the can”, as it were, we need to write some more damn tunes. Until then check out the tourdates page for shows in July. The TLB studios have been hustling and bustling with many, many gear changes. Implementation strategies are being re-worked, re-configured, and re-organized. What does this mean for you, dear listener? A bigger, badder TLB sonic experience. That’s right. Jen has a whole new Ampeg rig, and MAN does it sound goooood. She is in a perpetual state of smiles and giggles. Dale’s got a new thingy – some kind of sampling device. And Trav, well he’s still waiting. But soon, very soon, young Jedi. This changeover meant new racks for everyone, completely new amp and cabinet setups. Hence the lack of updates as of late. So, as soon as humanly possible we will post new pics of new gear. As an aside, Trav would like to extend his gratitude and personal kudos to the inventor of Cable Ties. Also on the horizon, we’re digging up old TLB video footage for the A/V page, hopefully some more memoirs from the road and pics from the road. Finally, we’ve been receiving a lot of really amazing fan emails. We want you all to know how truly inspirational your letters have been. We have the greatest fans in the whole wide world. Thank you, thank you, thank you. |

Greetings all you karazeee TLB freaks. So here's the scoop: The DVD Release Party went off! If you weren't there -- sucks to be you. The band performed an amazing "Rock Show" that night, with a follow-up that will remain in the minds of TLB aficionados for a lifetime. Yes, it was a tribute to Rush -- By-tor and the Snowdog, into Cygnas X-1, then a flurry of all the greatest Rush rock and roll endings, including YYZ and Xanadu. Rumor has it that the band recorded that night.... Thanks to everyone for coming out and showing your support. The great Guitar Giveaway winner asked to remain unidentified, so she could hock her new guitar on Ebay and not get shit for it. In other news, TLB has been out playing lots of shows and will continue throughout this summer. Check out the tourdates page for all the latest. Work continues on songs for the next album, tentatively scheduled for release early next year. New site updates: Finally the moment I know you've all been waiting for.... drumroll please.... The unveiling of Dale's new kit (on the site, anyway). Behold its glory. Moon's been busy. Check out the eight, count 'em EIGHT, new drum diaries, documenting this year's travels thus far. On the AV page, listen to 35 minutes of really weird, er, I mean interesting radio interview with Randy Allar from WCSB, Cleveland OH. It's brutal. Let's see... couple of new reviews up, and some new distributors . Check it out, even more ways to get your hands on TLB stuff. Future updates include new gear pages for Travis (hopefully soon, depending on when we get the actual gear). Also a new page with all of TLB's 8x10 promo pics and other cool images. New pictures for the Gallery coming soon. Cool. Find what you love and let it kill you. |

Be sure to check out the video clips from ROCK SHOW, then go straight to the merchandise page and buy it. In support of the new release, we'll be out playin' some shows in the next few months. We are all anxious as hell to be playing again, so check out the dates and come on out. Thank you one and all for your support and we will SEE YOU SOON! |

Holy Time Warp, Batman. It’s been sometime since we’ve posted some news here at travislarsonband.com. Rest assured the band has not been resting on their laurels. In fact, the last year has been filled with production frenzy and finally we are prepared to announce the latest and greatest. Drum roll please…. Available February 14 (barring any unforeseen Acts of God)… Travis Larson Band – Rock Show. The full-length performance DVD by the Travis Larson Band. This video captures the energy and excitement of the trio, bringing its brand of muscular, technical rock fusion to the fans. The performances are intact, exactly as they happened that November night in California. This is not an overdubbed, overproduced studio production. This is a rock show. Special DVD features include: PCM Stereo, Dolby Digital 2.0, Interactive Menus, Instant Chapter Access, and Band Commentary. Wooo Hoooo! In other news, expect to see a re-vamped website, video clips from ROCK SHOW, new tourdates, updated gear pages, new installment of Moon’s Methods and whatever else we can throw atcha. Thank you one and all, for making 2002 an eventful and prosperous year. The band has thoroughly enjoyed all of the shows, meeting many of the fans, and while it was a tremendous endeavor, we had a great time putting this DVD together. Here’s to the new year, may it be one hell of a ROCK SHOW. |

Brief list of updates to the site: New memoirs by Moon, including Rush concert reviews and drum diaries. Four new entries, count 'em FOUR. New pics on the gallery page, including some shots of our recent concert experiences, and TLB shows. Also a couple of dates added to the tourdates page, more to come in November. Expect new gear pages (again), coming soon. All three fools have new or re-configured gear. Can you say "gear-aholics"? We've started an anonymous group and are scheduling meetings next week. Do it, or don't. |

So. We've got a few updates for ya. First off, some live shows coming up. More of the acoustic/duet shows with Travis and Jennifer, and also some full blown trio shows. The big rock and roll type. Check the tourdates page for info. The band has been privileged to attend some truly amazing concerts this summer, including the Satriani/Dream Theater shows and the Biff Baby's All-Star Jam (featuring Albert Lee, Steve Lukather, and Vinnie Moore). Check out Moon's concert review on the Memoirs page and also some very cool backstage pics on the Gallery page. More coming soon. We've added a tasty little glimpse of our own backstage mayhem to the AV page, and check out the latest review of Suspension from Sea of Tranqulity. Work coninues on the DVD. We are about three-quarters of the way through the video editing process, then onto the hard stuff. What a trip. Still on schedule. Coming soon, hopefully: Another installment of Moon's Methods, pics from the Biff Baby's show, and more concert reviews (we're anxiously awaiting the RUSH shows this month - whoo hoo!!) Keep Moving... |

Howdy ho, boys and girls! Okay. Quick report: Brand spankin' new Moon's Methods (for July, but who's counting...) This month's (rather, last month's) topic: New Fill Ideas. Also, a couple of new Memoirs, courtesy of Moon. Read all about our adventures in Oakland (again), and our recent Northern California shows. The dynamic duo of Travis Larson and Jennifer Young are embarking upon a whirlwind acoustic-electric-micro-mini-tour of California Borders Stores. Check out the tourdates page for more info. And on Sunday, after your three-day TLB duet experience, check out the Joe Satriani/Dream Theatre/Kings X concert at the Concord Pavillion. The band will be attending and so should you. Really. Finally, work continues on the DVD production. We're moving right along, still on schedule (pretty much), look for it this winter. More full band shows coming in September, more gallery pics on the way, and perhaps another little sneak peak at the DVD footage. Rock hard. |

Hopefully, you're impatiently wondering what the heck we've been up to. Well, let me tell ya… TLB is hip-deep in the production process for the upcoming DVD release--look for it this winter. In case you're out of the loop on this one, TLB brought a five-camera crew to film a show last November. The footage was promptly shelved for a couple of months while the band pursued the typical busy winter schedule, then we set to work on the editing process. In the last month or so, it's pretty much been wall-to-wall editing. You see, if you let go of the idea of having a life and dedicate all waking moments to editing (plus maybe some time allotment for nourishment and rudimentary personal hygiene), you can get the editing process to zip along at a pace that approximates that of grass growing. Very satisfying, indeed. So far, though, it's slammin'. We're all getting more excited by the day. We's writin' tunes. Yup. New material comin' your way. Just for the sake of getting waaayyyy ahead of ourselves, we've got a couple songs worked up for the next album. They seem to be a couple of gems--the kind that just sort of "happen." Ah, if it could just always be like that. Anyway, you can hear these new morsels at some of the live shows, depending on how daring we feel. Okay, so that's the hype. "Exciting," you say, "but progress reports alone won't get me through the night." We understand. That's why we're bustin' out of production mode for a while and bringing you tantalizing fare -- check the tourdates page for more info. And finally, what you've all been waiting for....ta da...a new MOON'S METHODS installment. This month's topic: Internal Dynamics. Look for pics from the upcoming shows to be posted this month, more progress reports, and lessons. Hopefully some video clips as well. Peace. Out. |

I know, I know. I said more updates "sooner than later". I lied. TLB headquartes have been buzzing with excitement and well, I'll tell ya why. The band has just signed a microphone deal with Electrovoice. An instrumental band signing a mic deal? Huh?, What the... Let me explain. Drum microphones. With the addition of Dale's new DW set, we needed to make sure you could hear them real good. Why not mic them up with the best microphones in the industry? We're very excited about our new partnership with EV, and can't wait to hear the sounds on the new record. New record? Well...we're working on it. New tunes are coming together nicely. Maybe you've even heard some at the recent shows. The DVD production continues to be the current focus. The month of June is dedicated to just that and we're still shooting for a winter release. This thing is gonna kick ass. We've added some pics to the gallery page from some recent shows, which by the way I'd like to take a moment to discuss: Our fans rule. I'm deeming this last mini-tour the "Good, Bad and the Ugly" tour. The shows have been just that. All the while, our fans -- our lovely, wonderful, amazingly extraordinary fans -- have been there for us. Through all of the good, bad and ugly. It's truly an inspiration and TLB is most thankful, humble and overwhelmed. Read all about some of the "ugly" in Moon's recent memoirs. And check out the upcoming shows for late June and July. |

Just a few updates... some added tourdates. We're especially excited about performing and speaking at the Delta High Career Day. The band was sent a list of questions that the kids might be asking: "What skills are needed to be a success in this career?", "What are the working conditions like?", and my personal favorite, "How much money does the average person make during the first year?" Chuckle, chuckle, snort, snort. Finally, a glimpse of some rough footage from the DVD filming. Mind you, it is a streaming file for fast download and not intended to represent the finished product's quality. But it's pretty cool. Check it out on the av page. Some new gallery pics have been added, including some from NAMM 2002 and some cool shots of the DVD filming, taken by our bro Bill Sanford. More updates sooner than later. Over and out. |

You may have been asking yourself "Gee, where are them good 'ol TLB boys, and umm girl? Haven't heard from them folks in quite some time." And you would be right. Unfortunately we have been experiencing some technical difficulties, here at the TLB World Offices. Safe to say, as I type from my laptop, that things have been better. On the technical side only, of course. We have updated the website! New gear pages, Travis and Jen only. Dale has been so busy "mooning" over his drums that we haven't been able to photograph the new masterpiece. When they are unveiled, you will be dazzled. New reviews have been posted. Some very kind words from Expose Magazine, Background Magazine and the Progressive Newsletter (which is in German; we're hoping it's good but not sure). We've added a couple of new distributors to our list of....distributors. We're happy to be working with these folks, so if you're in Rhode Island or Maryland stop in and pick up a copy. New shows on the horizon. We've added some live dates and expect to add more as the summer draws near. We'll keep you posted. The old tourdates and news pages have been archived. You can still check them out, but only in their respective archives. Coming soon...Pictures from NAMM, oh what a blast we had. This year was especially fun and you can read all about it in the upcoming "memoirs" installment. If I can pry Dale from his kit... which reminds me.... A new edition of Moon's Methods WILL be posted by the end of this month. God willing. On to other news... TLB has been quietly busy working on new tunes for the next album. No release date has been set, but they are hoping to be in the studio by winter. As for the DVD, further technical difficulties limit forward progress. Plans for a Fall release may be postponed, however this is speculation only. Okay, that's all for now. We will update again SOON. Remember to keep on rocking in the free world. |

Fall is here and you may have noticed a big change here at TLB online. We've redesigned our homepage, Trav and Jen's pages and some gear pages. You may be asking yourself, "but why?" Well, I'll tell ya... Its the big announcement you've all been waiting for.... Travis Larson and Jennifer Young have teamed up with Ernie Ball and are now endorsing MusicMan guitars. "These instruments are stunning, the playability is just amazing, and the tones will blow your head right off." For an official press release please visit ernieball.com. Stay tuned for more updates and official statements. Here's to a lifelong partnership with our new friends at EB. TLB recently performed at the America Rocks Rally, where Travis dedicated a stunning rendition of the National Anthem. Behold it's glory. Two, count 'em TWO new drum lessons are now up. Both lessons explore the intricacies of.... flams. While you're in Dale's world, check out his most recent ramblings in memoirs. Insight into the world of rock and roll. We've added new pics to the gallery page, featuring the new MusicMan guitars. Beautiful. Finally, another reminder of the event not to be missed. Travis Larson's 30th Birthday Roast and Toast, Friday, November 30th at SLO Brewing Co. in San Luis Obispo. Come out and celebrate the life of our favorite guitar hero. Performance starts at 9:30 and will include an intermission of roasting our boy. Cake, food, you get the jist. More details will be posted soon. A quick update. We've added a couple of shows for October and are working on November. Check out the dates. The latest drum lesson was added a few weeks ago, for those of you keeping score. This month's lesson is on paradiddles. Also, some new reviews of Suspension have been posted. More updates coming soon. We truly hope that you and your loved ones were not affected by the tragic events in New York and Washington, beyond being horrified by the news and pictures. Times like these are humbling to entertainers. We are reminded that no matter how grueling this industry is, we are profoundly lucky to live in a culture free enough and prosperous enough to sustain an “entertainment industry.” God bless America. |

Running a little late this month....As you may have heard, TLB had the honor of playing with Ted Nugent on July 31 at the California Mid-State Fair. Travis Larson Band filled in for Lynyrd Skynyrd, whose bass player unexpectedly passed away. Everything was thrown on the back burner while TLB rehearsed Freebird, figuring if ever there was a gig.... We've got some pictures up of the awesome event in the new Gallery section. Also included are pics from some recent festival shows, backstage mayhem and whatever else we could scrounge up in a hurry. While you're there, visit the "other" galleries. The drum lesson has been postponed. Should be up in two weeks, give or take a month. Thank you everyone for your continued support and overall enthusiasm. We are having a BLAST! |

This month's edition of "Moon's Method's" is up. Topic: Double kick beats, part II. Also, check out some of Dale's ranting in the "About Dale" section. He doesn't do it very often, but he needed to vent so we let him. Some really cool shows are coming up. Check the tourdates page and keep an eye on your email for updates. Travis Larson Band -- Suspension is receiving some great reviews. We'll have a couple posted later this month. Pick up a copy of Progression Magazine and Guitar 2001 to read the latest. |

We've finally had a chance to do some updating to the site. Thanks for your patience. Check out the real video clips on the a/v page for some live TLB at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood. We will be adding more live performance clips, some generally goofy band mayhem and maybe even a clip or two of Trav riding the waves. Next week we expect to post the first installment of "Moon Lessons", a monthly video drumming excercise - NOT instruction on how to be like Moon. God, no. We've also added some new pictures from NAMM and various TLB shows, including the CD release show. Check out the gallery pages for Trav, Jen and Dale. Precision Records is in the process of setting up some tour dates, with the intent of spreading out this year. If there is a venue you would like to see the Travis Larson Band perform, let us know and we'll do our best! |

TLB has the greatest fans out there. The shows have been just amazing because of you folks and the band is grateful for your support and enthusiasm. The official CD Release was a great success, and we'd like to congratulate Mahayla on winning the Ibanez Guitar Giveaway. Thank you to Grand Performance for the help with the giveaway, and thanks Brandi and Greg Glenn for making Dale's birthday such a cool event. We will post pictures soon. We're working on getting some new pages up on the site, including a page dedicated to ranting. As usual, the band (well, really just the bass player) has some things to express. New dates are being scheduled for April and will be posted later this week. |

The Travis Larson Band is back in effect! After what seems like an extended hiatus from live performances, TLB is out of the gates in 2001 with a new album, Suspension, to be released January 23. The album has all of the power and range of the first one, with some added bonuses in the areas of sound quality and production value. Suspension also features a guest appearance by Grammy-award winning bassist Victor Wooten of Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. The writing and recording process has gone incredibly well and has been very rewarding. Nevertheless, the time spent recording and producing the CD, while absurdly short by most standards, was far too long for everyone in the band to be away from live shows and, well. . . YOU. Therefore, expect to see the live TLB machine crank up in January and February, and look for a CD release party in your area. |

Hey KIDS! We are gearing up for the follow up album to the widely acclaimed "Travis Larson Band". Scheduled for release in January 2001 (yeah right), it will feature the same blistering yet thought-provoking etc, etc, you'd expect from TLB. We sincerely apologize for the lack of updates, stories and additions in general to the website. You can expect to see a bigger, brighter and much more happenin' (as the kids would say) website in the near-but-realistically-kind-of-far-off future. Having stated my sorry-ass, lame preface: Some live shows abound...Check the Tourdates page for upcoming TLB shows AND duet shows. Perhaps even the rumored California Guitar Trio w/ Tony Levin and TLB will be mentioned. And finally, sorry folks, the Travis Larson Band "Live in Hollywood Authorized Bootleg" video is currently sold out - indefinitely. Consider it a collector's item. |

Happy New Year to all (as though you hadn't heard enough of that). Here's the short but sweet scoop on TLB: The TLB video is now available! That's right -- one full hour of pure, live, mellifluent Travis Larson Band. This gen-yoo-wine "Authorized Bootleg" was recorded at the infamous Musician's Institute in Hollywood and includes the previously unreleased track "Snack Flight". Copies are now available, for $13 big ones. Available through mail-order only, supplies are limited. OK, OK, what else? After some much needed time off, TLB is headed back out for some live shows. Check out the Tour Dates to find out when and where. We really wanted to leave you folks with an inspiring message about the new page in history, the end and beginning of an era, the future and all that crap... but we just haven't had time. So, in next week or two, look for our new piece in Succulent Morsels: "TLB's belated inspiring message about the new page in history, the end and beginning of an era, the future and all that crap..." Thank you and goodnight. |

Man, how time flies. It's already November and we are still stuck in April. So - TLB is taking some time off. We need to stay home for a little while and write some tunes. The band will be back out in mid January. Some new projects on the horizon...TLB plans to spend some extra energy on a project called The Names. See their press release for further details, more to come soon. Also, a live TLB video is in the works for release on December 23. Makes a great stocking stuffer. More details and ordering information will be available soon. We apologize for the vagueness here; all will be updated when we know what the hell is going on. Thanks. |

Just a quick note...we will be playing like mad-men during the next few months. Try to catch TLB at a venue near you. For performance information and updates you can call Precision Records at 805-528-4471. Thanks to all for your patience regarding this website. We will be updating the band members' pages soon. Look for some new "Road Trip" stories per Dale Moon -- He's such a witty guy. We'll soon see some more inspiring articles from Jen and new tunes from Trav. All for now -- Peace. |

Hey kids. Well, as USUAL we are working our little butts off trying to spread the word 'bout TLB's electrifying sounds, sights and extra-curricular activities (?). OK, hold on to somethin'... TLB's opening track "NUT BOY" is currently the "Featured Instrumental Rock Song" on MP3.com. Check it out. Some new additions to the site: The Radio page features progressive-rock radio stations/shows from across the country who are in possession of the Travis Larson Band CD. Call those boys and give 'em hell... Also, you can now click on Jen too. See her gear, articles and other thought-provoking fun facts (some sections still being updated). That's all for now. |

Travis Larson Band would like to announce their new partnership with Red Room Records Distribution. This company features many instrumental guitar acts, not unlike the TLB. Check em out. Precision Records, in association with Guitar Nine, is currently planning the G9 Concert Series. Featuring Guitar Nine artists from California, including TLB, this concert series promises to amaze and stimulate the progressive-instrumental-fusion-balls-to- the-walls-guitar-shred lover in all of us. Stay tuned for more info. |

TLB has been at it again; working hard on administrative duties and even finding time to write a tune or two. Hear them at a venue near you... TLB would like to announce their new association with The Orchard, one of the world's fastest-growing music distributors. The Orchard CEO Richard Gottehrer, legendary producer and co-founder of Sire Records is offering worldwide, non-exclusive distribution through Valley Media Distribution. The Orchard guarantees that its product will be sold at all the major online record stores including Amazon.com, CD Now, Music Boulevard and available on demand in every major chain store. WOW. Instrumentalmusic.com will be featuring the Travis Larson Band in July or August, for their (oddly enough) FEATURED ARTIST page. We'll keep you posted. Some new additions to our website: The Winter Road Trip saga as seen through the eyes of Dale Moon himself. A Guitar Nine interview with Trav; discusses the inner workings of the guy who loves the Stones. Jen got a few words in there too. Some practical things... Directions to the venues on our tourdates page - brought to you by MapBlast!™ Updated links. Pleas read our disclaimer for your own protection. Audio clips are still on the way, along with Dale, Trav and Jen's individual pages. Hang in there. Finally, we would like to reiterate how much we LOVE Guitar Nine Records. They have been a real pleasure to work with. We strongly urge our fans to support G9; buy at least three CD's a day from the G9 site. That's guitar9.com - DO IT. NOW. |

Well, I suppose the obvious new thing here is this web site. We started over with a whole new look, new sections, some old stuff as well. The plan is to try and keep this thing as up to date as possible. With any luck, you will be well informed... Please send us your suggestions, any feedback is appreciated. Check out some of the new pages: "Succulent Morsels" will be featuring the writings of TLB and other lunatics. Plenty of mind tingling prose. We will try to keep the "Tour Dates" page updated for our cult following out there who can't miss a single show...The individual band members will soon have their own sections with lots of pics, gear info, etc. Keep checking. The "Audio Clips" page is still under construction; you will be dazzled. TLB is now available through Guitar Nine Records, an on-line distributor dedicated to the instrumental guitarist. We are really excited to be working with Dan, the motivational force behind Guitar Nine. Download sound files, read interviews, and reviews -- an excellent resource. If you can find one, check out the new issue of Bass Frontiers (Vol. 6 Num. 1). Travis Larson Band got a pretty nice CD review, and "Jennifer Young kicks ass...". |
