We're excited to announce the first shows for next year, TLB's customary pre-NAMM run, this time featuring the prodigious Dave LaRue Band and the wildly deft Magic Elf. It ain’t easy getting such noteworthy fusion bands together for even ONE night of mind-blowing music, so why not make a thing of it?

Grammy-nominated bassist Dave LaRue’s technical prowess is formidable among jazz-fusionists, but his unique talent is to project his virtuosity with remarkable soul and feel. A long-time member of the instrumental groups the Steve Morse Band and the Dixie Dregs, LaRue continues to be the go-to guy for many leading guitarists, having worked with Joe Satriani, John Petrucci, Vinnie Moore, The Hellecasters, Pat Travers, Steve Lukather, Mike Stern, Eric Johnson, Andy Timmons, Albert Lee, Paul Gilbert, Tony MacAlpine, Rik Emmett, Ace Frehley, and Steve Vai.

Magic Elf’s high-energy, instrumental rock is often compared to The Dregs, Rush, King Crimson, Allan Holdsworth, along with echoes of both Bach and Beck. Guitar World Magazine says, "Without a doubt, the Elf packs a punch. Their all-instrumental music is ass-kickingly ferocious jazz fusion/progressive hard rock... Roa is an extremely formidable player... a must-hear for any serious fans of creative, technically proficient prog rock”.

Dang. Over three months since the last update? Who's runnin' this shootin' match?

Apologies. Seems there's been some distraction, lack of multi-tasking, and general neglect. Let's blame it on Mr. Beller, shall we? :)

The Aristocrats / TLB tour really WAS the stuff of dreams. The shows were fiery, the fans were earnest, the travel was trying... but we survived and survived well. Over twelve-thousand miles, forty-four shows, two vehicle breakdowns, four Jen breakdowns, and numberless pounds of scrambled eggs... yes, the stuff of dreams. Our heartfelt thanks to the Aristocrats, the crew, the folks at BMP and all the cool cats who came to the shows. EVERYONE rocked and rocked hard. Thank you.

While the rest of the band rests on their laurels, Travis will be doing some solo clinics in the upcoming months. Keep an eye on the tourdates for details. Coming soon, pictures from the tour and assorted news on upcoming TLB escapades.

Greetings from Nashville! Travis Larson Band is on the road, making our way across the Midwest and South, heading east, whilst plundering and pillaging each and every Subway. Spicy Italian is the October $5 featured footlong, afterall.

We thought it prudent to let our faithful friends know that TLB has decided to scrap the last few months of writing for the new record. Furthermore, since Travis wasn't even "close" in his songwriting, we've demoted him and changed the name of the band to "Bieber"....mwahahahahaha!!

Just foolin'. Of course.

In truth, the new songs are shaping up rather nicely and the Travis Larson Band is happy to announce a July release date. The actual date has yet to be determined.

Last chance to catch the Soundmind tour set, this weekend at the Guitar Center Musician's Expo, where Travis and Jennifer will perform and geek out on gear. Yay!

TLB is happily home from the NAMM show and a kickass run with the Aristocrats, where everyone but the drummers came down with Nammthrax. Recovery has been absurdly slow and it remains to be seen if the guitar and bass players will even survive.

The NAMM show is just around the corner and Travis can almost taste the fluorocarbons as his excitement mounts. Meanwhile, the band is gearing up for our California run with all-around-good-guys and supergroup The Aristocrats, “a rowdy democracy of musicianship.” Best said by ELP, "Come and see the show!" We've recovered from the holiday-induced sugar coma and finally got busy adding the last two tours worth of Tour Diaries and Galleries. Yes, they're old-ish, but still just as fun. Speaking about old-ish and fun....

We're officially reminding you of the upcoming East Coast run that kicks off in just a matter of weeks. Eleven shows, from Florida to New York, why not take a week off work and we'll convoy? TLB has been working their little cottontails off getting the April and May tours solid. They are officially solid.... ish.

The month of April has the band returning to the good ol' Northwest where cold is cold, wet is wet and they like it that way. Then in May, TLB heads East where hot is hot, wet is wet and they like it that way. Silly geese.

It's TLB's first time to Florida and we are sick with delight to be sharing the Sunshine State stages with Bass Deity and all-around-nice-guy Dave LaRue. Check the tour dates page for all the juicy bits. More on the way for June and such...

It's the Year of the Dragon and TLB wishes you all of the prosperity, good fortune and evidently babies that the Dragon influence has to offer...

TLB is off to a fiery start with a smokin' NAMM show this year. Fun was had by all as thousands of NAMM attendees descended upon Anaheim, CA and demanded a good time. We wined and dined, mixed and mingled, hobbed and nobbed and nobody in our crew even got arrested. Good times. Check out the tour diary.

With Soundmind still just taking it's first steps, we're working hard on getting the show back out on the road. Tourdates are in the works, so keep an eye out for a TLB show near you and we'll keep you posted.

And with that said, there's one more teeny-tiny, lil' show to announce.... Yes, it's Travis Larson's Big Ol' Birthday Bash! It's big, big, big and he's old, old, old! Not really. Maybe a little. Reason enough for celebration, nonetheless.... November 30th. Mark it.

November 30th also marks the ten year anniversary of TLB's first DVD, Rock Show. In honor of the occasion, we're discounting this classic gem for the whole month of November! Head over to the merch page for full disclosure...

Word has been that TLB was headed East in late July, and while we've been having a helluva time pulling it together, it's TRUE. Our apologies for such late notice, but check out the tourdates and get out yer planner. It's good to fly by the seat of your pants... and cheaper than United.

Reckon the West/Northwest tour was a hog-killin' good time and we've got the apple pie to prove it. We figured you could do without updates if you knew that TLB was hard at work getting the new record together. The writing was finished before NAMM, tracking started the day after NAMM... the days and nights have been long and tedious but filled with a joyful sense of musical recklessness.

Still no release date, but we're shootin' for May. Can you hardly stand it? May is just a short ways away. May. Tra-la-la-la-la.

Before the delirium set in, we managed to scrape together some bits of video and pictures from the NAMM show... what a GREAT show this year. Thanks to everyone who came by the Ernie Ball/MusicMan booth and hung out. MusicMan's new Game Changer won Best of Show, check it out...

Travis spent Valentine's Day shooting this demo for Ernie Ball's new Gigbag Amp, then took it out for sushi and slipped a box of chocolates in the outside pocket. He even wore his good shoes.

NAMM is coming, NAMM is coming... Oh, Happy New Year! NAMM is coming! It bears repeating that TLB loves the NAMM show. Four exhausting days of music-family reunions, rockin', rollin' and CHOW, if we can get someone else to buy...

TLB will be performing all four days of the NAMM show, so we've got some warming up to do. Check out the tourdates for a quick little run this very weekend. It's also around this time of year that Ms. Young pulls the same ol' "presents and cake" scam, so remember she prefers chocolate and shiny objects.

And on the next run, we should have a new Travis Larson Band record in hand. More on that later.

We're gonna make 2011 a good one...

We're fast approaching the first day of Winter and it seemed like a good opportunity to peek our little heads out and wish you all a very warm and hearty holiday season.

We've posted some dates for 2011... why not start the year off right with some TLB love? Oh yeah, in case you're paying attention, we switched the tourdates BACK to the way they used to be. The dates will henceforth be listed in reverse chronological order. Seems there was some confusion with the "other way", and Jennifer would just like to state for the record "I told you it was dumb to change it".

Holy turkey-tasting, pumpkin-pigging, tater-tossing, greenbean-burping time-warp! We were so busy stuffing ourselves on the feasts of the season, the web update got eaten too. Nevertheless, hope your biscuit-buttering, gravy-guzzling, cider-sipping, pie-popping feasts were lovely and full of thankfulness.

The new record is sailing along with almost all the tunes written. Travis claims this is the best record yet, and wants to call it "The Best Record Yet", but the band thought that was lame. We have yet to set a release date, but you'll be the first to know. Well actually, we'll be the first to know, but then we'll let you know, etc.... huh?

Since we've been cooped up in the cave, we're gonna let our hair down for one last show in good ol' 2010. Come celebrate the season with TLB and Gary Hoey, Thursday, December 9 for "Ho Ho Hoey's Rockin' Holiday Show" at our old hometown stompin' grounds, SLO Brewing Co. Thank you one and all for coming out to support our recent tour with funky stanksters Doug Johns and Chris Ceja. We like to show 'em how it's done out here in Cali, and you all showed 'em good. And while you're over in that general nook, we posted a new duet video, Dear God, filmed at Hertlein Guitars on July 16, 2010.

Speaking of duet shows and such, Travis and Jennifer will be opening for Carl Palmer on November 6, down in San Diego, CA. Check the tourdates for more info and a few other one-off shows, the last of the year.

We're counting down just a couple of weeks till TLB reunites with Cleveland faves Doug Johns and Chris Ceja for their whirlwind California tour. From Sacramento to San Diego, TLB and DJ will be tearing roofs off of proverbial dumps, whilst leaving their trail of fusion and funk stank all over the state. Speaking of updates... there was recent mention of some acoustic/electric concert bits floating around here somewhere.... Featuring Travis Larson and Jennifer Young, the show was recorded and filmed at Hertlein Guitars on July 16, 2010 and it's pretty neat. Keep checking back, we're hoarding our bits.

A new review just in for Rate of Change LIVE, the DVD - thanks to our timely press department. And last but not least, we have one song in the demo-can for the new TLB record. Yee-haw, baby.

We have no excuses for the lack of updates as of late, except for that Travis forgot the words to Monkey Man, then Dale was lost at sea for nineteen days, then Jen broke her elbow playing badminton. Not really.

Here's what's up: Travis Larson Band was recently featured in Progression Magazine, and we finally got to read what nice things they had to say about TLB: "...hearing the seamlessly organic interplay of these three gifted musos is a thing of beauty that "progressively" attuned ears are sure to relish..." Awww, shucks. Read more, then go get signed up for their quarterly progressive journal, it rocks.

The last several weeks were spent gearing up for a rare acoustic/electric concert featuring Travis and Jennifer, sans Moon. The show was recorded and filmed and we hope to have some full-length songs together soon, for your viewing and listening pleasure. Until then, here is a little teaser.

(Editors Note: At the time of this posting, we have yet to receive the article, but we sincerely hope it says neat stuff.) Alright then. We're two months into the new decade and we've got an update for ya. We've been putting this year together, debating between touring or writing a new record. Since the last release (DOUBLE LIVE DVD/CD release, Rate Of Change LIVE, available for purchase here or at many fine retailers in your area) is just a behbeh at eight months old, we're hittin' the road. We've got some cool shows coming your way and more dates in the works.

The NAMM show this year was as great as ever, if not better than ever. Can't say the same for the tour diary and gallery, unless you are a fart-fan. A fan of farts. And while down in Anaheim, we confiscated the highly sought after Randy Allar vs. TLB 2009 interview, with the clever diversion of a bloomin' onion and Hot Wheels chitchat.

It's November? Wha the? Wha happen? We've got pumpkins to launch, turkeys to stuff, it's apocalyptically dark out in the afternoon and it feels like we've been abducted by aliens or Germans.

The UFO tour freaking ROCKED. Wish you all coulda been there, we had such a great, great time. Our humble thanks to the crew and band for having us out, making us feel so welcome and being just so damn cool. Just really, really cool and great.

So before TLB's hibernation officially begins, we deliver unto you, dear readers, another fat update. Nine tour diary videos. NINE...heh, heh, heh. Again, from New York to San Francisco, come travel with us and experience the harrowing adventures, such as "Don't Let 'Em Catch You With Your Pants Down", or "Puter Schnitzel", and of course the family classic "I Got A Rock". As we reflect upon the wonderful and amazing events of 2008, traveling near and far, playing so many cool shows, we can't help but revel in gratitude. May this new year bring you all the good stuff.

If you're attending the NAMM Show this year, it will surely reek of TLB, as the band is performing on all four days. We'll be signing stuff and playing stuff and it'll be cool. The band always looks forward to this "reunion" of sorts, however it must be said that we will surely miss our blood-brothers who are unable to attend this year. Dale will tie one on for you guys... Our travels have come to a close for the year, we have returned home safely, and we look forward to a restful yet productive holiday season as we focus on the DVD release.

We've posted a new gallery and tour video diary from last week's Vegas "Long Weekend". We all had a BLAST and our humble thanks to Stormer, Marty, EV and Sam Ash. Let's not forget the bisque and cigars, however.

Today is Thanksgiving Day. So, thank you for coming out to the shows, for all your kindness, for all your smiles and for seeking happiness...

What can be said about such a glorious evening as that of September 18, 2008? In short, thank you. Our hearts were warmed by your presence, then set on fire by your enthusiasm. Together we celebrated each other, with honesty, integrity and happiness.

We're pleased to announce that thousands of dollars were raised for the Rock for the Arts Education Scholarship... and lots of you guys went home with some pretty cool stuff. Again, thank you for supporting this effort.

We took a sneak peek at some of the footage from the show. Whoa. We're all in for one helluva treat when this thing comes together. Our humble appreciation goes out to all the crew guys, camera guys, sound guys, lighting guys and any other guys our tired brains have left out. You were all amazing.

Exactly one month from today the Travis Larson Band will celebrate their 10 year anniversary. Awww, ain't that cute? Cute as heckumms.

So, let's roll out the details: Thursday, September 18, 2008 at the beautiful Clark Center Theater for the Performing Arts in Arroyo Grande, CA. Doors at 7:00PM, show at 7:30PM. As a benefit for Rock for the Arts - a South County Education Scholarship, we will be hosting a raffle featuring giveaways from Electro-Voice, Digitech, Ernie Ball, Vater, Sabian, Gibralter, Faultline Music and more! And these ain't just some polish rags and straps, friends:

Rock for the Arts promotes the performing arts and sponsors live concerts in an effort to provide educational scholarships for aspiring high school performers. With over a half dozen concert performances under it's belt (several with TLB!), Rock for the Arts has raised thousands of dollars in scholarship money for young performers since 2001. Raffle tickets are a mere dollar, so you can buy a bunch and feel good about your donation going to these kids' music programs.

And hey! We're filming a DVD! A five-plus camera shoot with all the big bells and whistles and stuff.

Ahhhhh. Hard to believe TLB was rockin' Cleveland a mere "several" days ago and are now currently enjoying the temperate, DRY California weather.

We had an amazing two weeks back east and are admittedly a little sad that it's over. Our tour hosts were more than gracious, more than fun, and even more cool as we rocked and rolled together (big truck). Thanks to all the crazy fans who came out, some of you guys traveled almost as far as we did! Everyone was awesome, we had a great time and we'll be back...

Travis Larson Band is proud to announce that 2008 marks the band's 10 year anniversary. Ten big ones, a whole decade, two hundred and sixty or so fortnights, a half a score... and one helluva ride. And we're just barely getting started, baby.

So, to celebrate we're having a party... Save the date: SEPTEMBER 18, 2008. TLB will be performing a 10 year celebration show that will be filmed for a new DVD release. This is your chance to be part of TLB celluloid history. And while we're at it, why not help us pick the songs for the DVD? Held at the beautiful Clark Center Theater, on the Central Coast of California, this show promises to be an event you won't want to miss. More details as we get closer. But save that date. September 18. Go get yer calendar.

Next. Featured on the TLB.com homepage is a new gallery briefly chronicling the years of banded-bliss that we've shared. We dug around in those old archives and found some truly old shit. Travis Larson Band has contributed to the new Musicians For Minneapolis - 57 Songs for the I-35W Bridge Disaster Relief Effort Benefit CD. This special 3-CD collection of tracks features contributions from a multitude of artists including Steve Vai, Dick Dale, Los Lobos, Calexico, Howe Gelb, Simple Kid, DJ Spooky, Les Claypool, Bobby Bare Jr., Lee Scratch Perry, George Clinton and Joe Bonamassa to name a few.

The compilation is dedicated to the survivors and those who lost their lives on the I-35W Bridge, August 1st, 2007 - and to their families and friends, the rescue teams and volunteers. All proceeds from the sale of this compilation CD go to the Minnesota Helps - Bridge Disaster Fund. Electro-Voice (the producer of this CD) hopes to sell out of the first pressing of 5,000 copies and raise $100,000 - in time for the Aug. 1 anniversary of the collapse.

Musicians For Minneapolis is already on sale at a number of Twin Cities independent record stores, and everywhere through CDBaby.com. You can read more about the project at the EV Musicians For Minneapolis website.

Happy New Year and Valentine's Day. Two birds...

So, the Travis Larson Band is off to a great start this year taking a little time off, re-charging those batteries and getting a full year's worth of flu's and colds out of the way in just one month. 'Cause that's how we roll...

Word is that the band may be headed to the Southern states on the next installment of the Digi-Truck Tour. Keep an eye on the tourdates for info on that and more.

The band recently returned from the Winter NAMM show. Held every year in Anaheim, CA, the show is always a great time to see old friends, hear and see the greatest musicians in the world and chow. Check out the new gallery with pics from the NAMM show featuring TLB performances at the Digitech booth, and R.E.T. We also threw in some holiday fun stuff...

Having just returned from an eighteen-day Northwest tour, the Travis Larson Band is in good shape, good spirits and ready for eighteen days of sleep. But alas, not to be had.

The tour was a great success, given the sunstroke, exhaustion and potentially life-threatening blow-out on the I-5. Most humble thanks to all of our fans who came out, our gracious friends who gave us shelter and our families who helped us make rent this month. We had an amazing time with the Digi-Truck Gang and we look forward to the next tour. "Take Luck".

Peek-A-Boo... Here we are. After taking a bit of time off you people may have begun to wonder "whatever happened to..."? Well, still here, still kickin' and still living the dream.

Travis Larson Band is headed North again, this time on the Digitech DIGI-TRUCK-TOUR!! (Please use your best Don Pardo impression here.) The DIGI-TRUCK, a freaking fabulous fifty-three-foot showcase of guitar effects and modeling, will be bringing "The Power To Create" to a music store near you. Featuring live performances by the Travis Larson Band.

August has the band heading East. While the Midwest - East Coast tour is still in the planning stages, dates will be posted soon. Visit the tourdates page often for details.

A couple of goodies for ya... Since the birth of travislarsonband.com way back in 1998, when the internet was still slobbering drool all over itself, a TLB guitar gallery was never created. We've been taking a bit of time off for gear maintenance and updating. Travis and Jennifer are now sporting new pedalboards, downsizing a bit for upcoming travels. Well, "downsizing" might be a strong word. Our thanks to the fine people at PedalTrain and Georg L's Cable for their help with this project.

A few tourdates have been added, one worth special mention: Thursday, March 29, the Drum Circuit in San Luis Obispo, CA will host a free drum clinic featuring our very own Dale Moon. Lots of door prizes, lots of drumming. Check it out.

Holy Smokes, another year down the tubes... and how we'll miss good ol' 2006.

Let's start off the year right with a bunch of new tourdates! TLB is once again conquering Cali with a mess of dates from San Diego up to Sacramento, starting with the annual "Jen's B-day Bash". Check the tourdates page for all the dirt.

If you're attending the NAMM Show this year, it will surely reek of TLB, as the band (or a version thereof) is performing at three different booths on all four days as well as some special NAMM Show events. We'll be giving away stuff and signing stuff and playing stuff and it'll be cool. Travis claims this to be his favorite time of year, and why not? You've seen the NAMM pics. So again, get yer butt over to the tourdates page and start filling up your calendar.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a Good Night...

It seems the Holidays are upon us since the James Bond extravaganza on Spike starts tonight, and TLB is grudgingly taking a break during this time to catch up, re-charge and do some baking.

In September TLB was informed that they were nominated for three JPF awards. Started as an informal way to recognize independent music, the JPF Music Awards has grown to become the largest Music Awards program in the world and is fast becoming touted as the 'Independent Grammys'. For the 2006 Awards JPF received 350,000 songs and over 25,000 albums in 67 genres from 85 Countries. The sole criteria for judges is "Does it move you?"

The band attended the awards ceremony just a couple of weeks ago, and happily TLB brought home the Instrumental Rock Album award for Burn Season. Congrats guys, and thanks to Brian Austin Whitley and the people at JPF for this awesome recognition.

Our apologies for being so mysterious the last several months. We've really been busting some hump and are still up to the ol' eyeballs in looming deadlines. Dale finished tracking less than a week ago and mixdown begins in a matter of days. Lots of stuff headed your way, not to mention a whole new album.

We've added a few bits to keep you appetized while waiting for the main course. Dale has documented the whole "situation" that lead up to rehearsing for and recording this cd in his journal page. Read all about the trials and tribulations that nearly led to an album titled "The vandalizing, assaulting, jackasses upstairs". Ha, just teasing (or, am I?). But really worth the read...

Our most sincere apologies for the lack of updates as of late. If I tell you it's all because the band is working feverishly on getting this new record finished, would that make it better?

It's true. The songs are amazing, the recording is moving along; Travis and Jennifer are only two tunes away from being finished with tracking, while Dale is scheduled to hit the studio in late June, but due to powers beyond our control, might be more like late July. You'll hear all about it, to be sure.

The album title is ever-elusive and still one has not been settled on. September is still the goal, but no clear release date has been set. These things are definitely coming together and we should have more solid information very soon... very soon, grasshoppa.

In the meantime, check out the tourdates page as the band will be playing a couple of pre-album-release warm up shows, including the Day of Creative Women featuring our very own Ms. Young. And I guess Travis will be there too... Also more Ebay action, the last of the Boogie bits... The Mark I's.

Happy New Year, TLB friends.... Yeah, yeah, so it's February. We've been so caught up in marveling at how wonderful and amazing last year was, getting to see so many of you guys, playing so many cool shows... well, we lost track of a month or so. Anyhoo, we do sincerely hope your New Year is off to a great start and you are kickin' ass at whatever it is you kick ass at. (insert big ol' smiley face here).

In case you haven't heard, the Burn Season tour (affectionately named the BS tour) is officially over. The band is furthermore, officially working on a new record. Yes, it's true. Songs are literally flying out of Travis' soul and we've had to up his sugar intake. No details yet on the particulars like album title or release schedule, but we'll keep you posted.

As far as updates go, check out the new Winter 2006 Gallery with pics of this year's NAMM show (we left out the incriminating one's of Dale's debauchery, but maybe someday he'll tell you all about it), and some cool show pics. There are a few updates to Travis' gear page, stuff he's been using for quite awhile now, but our lazy web guru just got around to letting you in on it. Incidentally, much of the gear (Trav and Dale as usual) will alas be changing with the release of the new record and new tour. So let's look forward to that...

And still speaking of gear, Travis is always asked about that "little cell phone thingy" on his guitar. Well, here's the full scoop... Travis has been using the Shadow midi converter for over a decade so that's sayin' somethin'.

With Burn Season behind us we've speculated on some of those tunes and included our ramblings on the Track by Track page. Enjoy.

We're in the home-stretch for 2005, friends. Hard to believe, but true nonetheless. And even harder to believe, TLB is winding down the BS tour. Yep.

November 26 will be the last TLB show of the year, it's Thanksgiving weekend so come out and give thanks that you're still alive and kickin' and rockin''. Until then, visit us in the Bay area the next couple of weeks. Check the tourdates for all the goods.

We'd like to thank all the folks who came out for the Katrina Benefit Concert, sponsored by Faultline Music. We had a great time, the show was awesome and if you weren't there, you missed some smokin' dueling between Travis and kid-wonder Keith Perry. Speaking of, Travis was asked to judge at this year's Guitar Competition along with Dino Cazares best known for his stint with Fear Factory. The kids all did pretty good, and wouldn't you know who won? Kid-wonder himself.

In other news, we were humbled to be a part of last month's Katrina fund raising effort sponsored by CDBaby.com. In the end, it raised a total of $165,060 sent directly to the Red Cross disaster Relief Fund. Cool, huh?

Finally, as mentioned before the BS tour will officially end in January (barring any unforseen lottery wins), and it is rumored that work will begin on a new album. As always, you didn't hear that from me....

Today marks the last day of summer, and tomorrow my friends, the first day of fall. None too happy about that, but the Autumn season does have it's charm... and there's pumpkins.

We have a little bit of an update for you and some news.

First off, our most heartfelt sympathy to those who have suffered Hurricane Katrina's wrath and devastation. So if you are looking for a good reason to buy some music, there it is.

On Saturday, October 15 we will be performing at the Hurricane Katrina Relief Concert, along with Keith Perry & Crucial Point, at the Los Osos Community Center. Tickets are $10 at the door, doors open at 6:30. All proceeds to benefit the American Red Cross. And enter to win a new electric guitar and other groovy prizes. Please come out and support this cause; let's get some of those folks back on their feet, shall we? See the KSBY news coverage of this event.

Summer, summer, summer... turns me upside down. And we've got an update.

Seems our boy Moon has been HOARDING his little journals. HOARDING, I say. Check out all forty new entries covering the Burn Season sessions, the always-entertaining-show-shenanigans, and even some deeper glimpses into that big ol' noggin of his.

While you're at it you can read all about Travis and Jennifer's adventure into the great Northwest. The shows were alot of fun, the people were sweet as pie and Northwest Guitars RULES! Thank you to all of our lovely hosts, friends and fans for making the trip so memorable. We'll be back!

New galleries include the BS Tour - Summer 2005. While there don't seem to be alot of performance pictures, there is one really amazing shot of a fully-loaded carrot truck. Thank you to Alp for bringing us a bunch of cool images from the Rock Show release party back in 2003; they've been added to the shows gallery.

We've been thoroughly enjoying all the fanmail and found one correspondence particularly entertaining. But seriously folks, thanks to all of you who take the time to reach out, it really means alot.

Finally, TLB would like to take a moment to honor a fellow rocker who passed this last week. For many years Peter Will has been an incredible source of entertainment for TLB, in the way he truly embodied what it meant to "rock & roll". He was practically a legend in our minds, and we'll miss him. Pete, may you finally find peace.

An update! Freakin' finally, you say. Weeellll.... we've been busy. I swear.

So, the neato stuff we were sorta mentioning arrived at the local book stores today. Yes, ladies and gents, the July 2005 issue of Guitar World and Guitar One Magazine cd-rom featuring our boy, Travis Larson. Check out the three-minute spot where Travis tells you all about his wireless system, the Electro-Voice RE-1. He's sooo cute... And such a proud wireless owner. You should really go get yerself one of these things.

In other cooler than COOL news -- TLB fan, friend and compadre Bill Sanford is the first to have the TLB emblazoned upon his body -- right near his heart. His tattoo has earned him a very special place in our hearts, but don't hold out for any BS tattoos, okay Bill? Love ya man.

We've added a couple of new tourdates and a ton of new pics from the last few outings. Check out the older galleries too, as we've added some stuff here and there. And in the spirit of the information age, you'll find some new "gallery descriptions" that will enlighten. The links page has also been updated to include Independent Mastering, the finest mastering house in Nashville, TN -- we apologetically admit it was woefully forgotten 'cause we're stupid.

There are also some stories from Jen, as she decides to try and document some stuff, since Dale doesn't anymore. Tee-hee.

Speaking of Moon, congratulations are in order as Dale is a proud new endorser for Vater drumsticks, Gibraltar hardware and Evans heads. Sheesh, what a guy, what a guy.

Okay, friends. One final thought as you rush away your day: "We're only immortal for a limited time."

Ahhh well, Spring is in the air, kiddies. And man, are they going to show anything but Rocky III on AMC?

The Travis Larson Band will be performing another benefit concert on April 9, Rock for the Arts -- Day on the Green, featuring Jefferson Starship, at the Avila Resort. This promises to be a grooovy show, so come on Sara, grab somebody to love and let's runaway. I dunno...

The winter tour was refreshing and cold. We've been having a good deal of fun, in all kinds of weather and in all kinds of places. We've seen some friendly faces out there and whole-heartedly love ya for it. Check out the latest and greatest pics.

A bunch of new dates are up -- nothing's gonna stop us now, while we're layin' it on the line. Heh, heh.

Alrighty, 'bout time for an update. Phew... these last several weeks have been chock full of craziness, out and about playing here, playing there, meeting folks and greeting old friends.

First off, the TLB/SMB/Dregs show was smokin'. All agreed that the venue's sound kinda sucked, but nonetheless an amazing show was seen and (somewhat) heard by all. Next, TLB and crew had a blast at this year's NAMM show. While Travis and Jennifer were working stiffs this year at the EV booth, the band found time to see some cool shows, hang with long time friends and as always, check out the latest and greatest gear. Check out some pics from the SMB show and NAMM.

The Travis Larson Band is performing a Tsunami Relief Benefit Concert on Saturday, February 26 at 6:30 pm with special guests Crucial Point. All proceeds will go to the International Red Cross. We'd really like to urge our friends and fans to support this cause, and maybe you have already. These people will need help for a long while to come, so lets support this cause some more.

The concert is being held at the South Bay Community Center in Los Osos, CA. There will be lots of really cool raffle prizes, and you guessed it -- we're giving away a guitar! Tickets are $7 for students 18 and under, $15 bucks for adults and are available at the door. For more information call 805-534-0259. This will be a very cool show, for the most worthy of causes so please come on out.

Reflecting on this past year we realize how fortunate we are in so many ways -- too many to list here. So in brief, thank you everyone -- you've all contributed to our good fortune just in the smiles you bring with you to the shows. So, keep 'em coming!

We've got dates posted for ya. Finally, we get to go out and PLAY. Something like thirty shows coming up, all shapes and sizes, something for everyone. So get out and do some music groovin'. And pick up the new album Burn Season while you're at it (just in case for some bizarre reason you haven't already bought the four copies you need for home, car, work and Uncle Bob).

ANOTHER REMINDER (and certainly not the last) to get your Dregs/SMB/TLB Ventura Theater tickets for January 19. Word about this show is spreading like wildfire, make sure you don't get left out in the seventeen inches of California rain.

Finally, if you're heading out to the NAMM show this year catch TLB at the Electro-Voice booth. Four sets a day, all four days. We'll be giving away stuff and signing stuff and playing stuff and it'll be cool. Exact times to be announced. Surround yourself in the glory and fluorescent weirdness that is "The NAMM Show". And if you're not headed out to NAMM, that sucks.

Fa-La-La-La-La, deck the halls, HO-HO-HO, jing-a-ling-a-ling, ding-dong-ding-dong -- I sound like a freakin' nut. But Happy Holidays, nonetheless.

Sometime around September TLB was informed that they were nominated for six JPF awards. What in the hell is a JPF award you may ask. Well... Started as an informal way to recognize independent music, the JPF Music Awards has grown to become the largest Music Awards program in the world and is fast becoming touted as the 'Independent Grammys'. For the 2004 Awards JPF received 140,000 songs and over 10,000 albums in 58 genres from 85 Countries. The sole criteria for judges is "Does it move you?"

We attended the awards ceremony in November, and happily TLB swept the Instrumental Rock category taking home two trophies and four nomination certificates. The Big Snuggle Up took first place for Best Rock Instrumental song (not really sure about that one), while Transcendental Dream received fourth place. Wilma and Squeeze & Shake were the other song nominees. Travis Larson Band S/T took first place for Best Rock Instrumental album and the Suspension album was the other album nominee. The JPF award is statistically more difficult to win than a Grammy and TLB scored TWO. Can you believe that?

Congratulations to our very own Dale Moon who is now exclusively endorsing Sabian cymbals. He is so excited about his new relationship with the fine folks up there in the Great White North, he incessantly mutters something about a "cymbal vault". Check out his new setup. Yay Dale!

First off, thanks to everyone who came out to the shows these last couple of months. The Burn Season release concert went OFF!
